Can someone make me understand the Hadith wherethe Prophet PBUH says to a woman that women will be the reason for men going to hell.

The hadith refers to those men who - figuratively speaking - "replace" worship of God with the worship of women. This ofcourse is impossible without the man himself being "bad" and is not solely the fault of the woman.

Another sound interpretation is men "mistreating" women. Thus the hadith could mean "women are a cause of fitna" which should not be confused as women being the "central cause" but due the the way they are treated evil arises on a general level.

There are other hadith defining "fitnas" such as the fitna of "wealth" and "property" although both can be used in the best of ways. Rather, one of the central pillars of our Religion, Zakat, rests upon wealth.

All of these hadith have to be seen from the viewpoint of the general Sunna of the Prophet.
