There are quite a few members on this forum who have been on Haj...and there a few who are also going this year too.

I have been for Hajj 2 years ago and it is always at this time of the year that we feel down and wish it was us again....but the next best thing is to be optimistic and keeping praying to Allah that he takes us again and agin.

i guess thats corrext..its not allowed to take dc's or cam fones..they check sometimes at the bab's but sometimes u can slip in..

Assalaam alaikum. went for Hajj in 2005, alhamdulillah. Pray tht get to go again, insha Allah.
In Madinah they were pretty strict with cams n celfones.

salamz,,,I went hajj lat year it was the most amazing experiance ever but I became really ill in d last couple of days of hajj but it wa weird because it brought me,my parents and brother really close we were doing stuff for each other that we would never do my brother was holding an umbrella over me which he had NEVER done for me and something I thought he would never do.My dad was holding my hands and telling me to take it slowly and that there is no rush and that sit down when usually he would be shouting at my mum and would be shouting at us saying like HURRY UP HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU GUYS ect and he would be like way ahead but we all stuck together and it was really an emotional and spritual time for me it made me relise the more important things in life...I wish I could go again this year inshallah il go with my brothers when they go...

Hajj is a very emotional journey, providing you approach it with a certain frame of mind and state of heart.
Sometimes just thinking of the trip brings tears to my eyes because i miss it so badly.
May Allah ta'ala accept our past Hajj and enable us to visit His Haramayn Shareefayn again and again. All of us. Ameen.

i went 10 years ago, its an experience of a lifetime and id urge anyone going to make the most of the time before reading up on the rites of Hajj and the sanctity of the two most holiest places on Earth.

bit of advice:Pray as much of the Kalima Tayyabah when in Makkah and durood Sharif in Madinah. the first sight of the kabbah is a time of acceptence of dua. Also just as the reward is greater in these places so is the sin.

I went with my family to umrah in the summer so its heart wrenching to see others go. :cry:
