Shaykh Muhammad Karam Shah (R.A), a renowned scholar from Bralvi school of thought, in his famous tafseer "Zia ul Quran" (in Urdu) wrote:
"The apex of the tragedy is the disunity and division of Ahle Sunnah wal Jamat, into two groups that both agree on the fundamentals of Deen. They are completely coherent on Oneness of God, prophethood of Muhammad (S.A.W) and its finality, Quran, Hereafter and other requirements.
However, many times carelessness in description and immoderation in lectures and sermons generate confusions and create suspicions and doubts in both the factions. This suspicion becomes terrible and formidable.
A moderate style of description and lectures could bring an end to most of these issues (creating disunity) if not all.
The remaining unresolved issues of much less importance would not bar the two parties, quarrelling and fighting each one declaring other an infidel and hypocrite, turn their efforts towards the call of the age."
(Zia Ul Quran vol. 1 p. 11)
