Asalaam Alaykum!

I posted a few threads concerning the need for prayers and courage in my search for the truth. I have struggled with Islam for over a year now and finally gave in to the truth last weekend. I said Shahadah and made it official. I basically admitted what I had already known for some time. I decided to keep it to myself for now. My wife did not react well when I tried to talk to her about it last summer. Insh'Allah she will reach a point in which we can discuss it again and it will go much better. I have Muslim brothers and sisters to thank for helping me through this especially difficult time. Many people endured much for the sake of helping me. I questioned, argued and I am sure insulted people with my challenges and doubts and yet they stuck with me and loved me through this. All praise be to Allah - it worked, in the end the truth prevailed. Please continue to pray for me as I learn and grow in Islam.

Assalamu Alaykum

Congratulations on your reversion brother! May Allah Azza Wa Jal keep you on the straight path. Keep firm because the shaytan (satan) will now be trying to attack you right, left and centre and lead you away from the straight path. Try and keep good company with pious Muslims and while things will seem daunting at first, don't worry because even the oldest scholar will tell you that he or she is learning something new everyday.

Assalamu alaikum wr wb brother,

Congratulations and welcome to the Ummah!

You still have time to sign up for the Absolute Essentials of Islamic Belief (http://course.sunnipath.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=BE100) course on Sunnipath that starts this Saturday. It's free for new muslims, and I would say you would definately qualify as a new muslim.

welcome aboard the straight path. Take your time, have patience, take the rough with the smooth and enjoy!
