Sister are you muslim or not? I get very confused reading your posts.....you say you would love to be muslim so that sort of implies your not muslim yet???
What do you mean when you ask for an explanantion of what you have to believe as a muslim? Its just in previous posts you mention you have converted for 2 years now and also you have offered to help new reverts.....so where are you coming from sister?? Hope I haven't offended you in anyway (none intended), just confused as to what you need help with yourself.

as-salamu `alaykum

sister, if you have been muslim for two years - it surprises me that you don't know what you need to believe - so how did you become muslim?

i know you don't have to tell us your background - but what led you to islam?

maybe we, and others in this forum can help you from there onwards.

sorry, but it seems strange to me also - looking at all your other posts.

also, we are here to help - so don't misunderstand anything i have said - i am just a bit confused by your posts.

btw, we believe Jesus, peace be upon him, is 'Ruhallah' - and a Messenger of Allah, not the son of Allah, as this is impossible. this is quite clear in any english translation of the Qur'an...

Sister, would you first like to tell us about your reversion/conversion to Islam... then we can take it from there. What led you to Islam?

Also, if you don't mind me asking... can you please provide the username of your cousin?

Thanks.

Assalamu Alaikum

Sorry Brothers and Sisters, but i think all the posts are wrong.

This is shaytan trying to gain an upper hand on you. When you get confused and you start thinking about your confusiong you make shaytan win this battle and he throws a party with his other friends, with ice cream...the strawberry kind.

You are muslim and there is nothing to think about. When these shaytani thoughts come to your brain, all you have to do is say 'Authibillahi Minashaytani Rajim, "I seek Refuge with Allah from the cursed Shaytan".

Ma salam

:salam:

perhaps you can contact a local Muslim sister or the imam of your masjid to explain to you about Islam. ask them if they can give you some simple literature about the basics in Islam.

as salamu alaykum sister,

Jesus peace be upn him is not the son of God, he is one of His most respected messengers, like Moses or Noah for example. The similtude of Jesus is Adam who was created without a father, and mother. Allah can create anything He wills, if there is no father it's not hard for him to create a baby in the whomb of the Virgin Mary. the christians have introduced this pagan belief, the trinity, into what used to be a a true religion revealed to Jesus. we believe that God is one, without any partners, equals, rivals, sons, daughters. He is not anything like His creation.

these verses were revealed to Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him, when he was asked to decribe his Lord.

1 Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
2 Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
3 He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
4 And there is none like unto Him.

http://masud.co.uk/ISLAM/misc/tahawi.htmi suggest you read this (doesnt have to be in 1 sitting) its a very short treatise on the creed of Islam. if you accept what is written here then insha'Allah you are on the straight path.

asalamulaikum sister, it seems to me like ur struggling with ur belief in that ur confused about whether jesus is the son of god or the messanger of god,

it seems that english isnt ur first language as ur posts are a bit difficult to understand, however i highly recommend that u watch a dvd by SHAYKH KHALID YASIN, called JESUS, A PROPHET OF ALLAH.

i watched it the other day and it clears alot of things up and shaykh khalid yasin uses very simple english so inshallah will clear things up for u. u can get the dvd of the website inshallah just google shaykh khalid yasin.

Salam Alay Koom:

Old Testament of the Bible: Book of Numbers 23:19

"God is not man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent."

That was what was told to the prophet Balaam from The God for him to tell King Balak- who was trying to make The God curse his enemies.

Did not Isa Ibn Maryam(saw)- The Man Called Jesus call himself "the son of man" when he spoke of himself? (Ezekiel also was call son of man by the way)

I will tell you something else everyone overlooks: John the Baptist was also a child filled with the "Holy spirit", remember the two babies knew each other in the wombs?(since Mary, Zecharia(saw), John-Yayah(saw), and Elizabeth all were filled with the "Holy Spirit", it means that the "Spirit" was already here, and that Isa(saw) did not need to go anywhere so that he could come down- also Remember when he breathed upon his Disciples and told them "Receive you of the Holy Spirit"?

No Prophet is with out Honor except in his own country (remember when Isa biblically said that?) The problem was that they disobeyed one of his orders: "Go not unto the Gentiles..." They where the ones who made him a God (the Romans/Gentiles who worshipped entire Pantheon of Gods already- tried to make Barnabas and Paul Gods in the book of Acts).Islam came to CORRECT anything that was made wrong before the Qur'an came.

Believe in The God, His Angels, His Books, His Prophets(Plural), The Day of the Hereafter, That you have the Power to Choose(limited Freewill) from The God himself, and The Ressurection after the Death. That is what a Muslim believes. Muslims also Believe that no Prophet is greater than another(Q:2:136 and Q:2:285 as examples) So Isa(saw) is no greater than Muhammed(saw) or Musa/Moses(saw) etc. - some may argue that and try to elevate Muhammed(saw) as being greater, but I listen to Quran on the issue.

which is what you must do. The Qur'an has not lied to me in over 40+ years, and I do not expect it to now. Read your quran- If you can read it word for word in the Arabic, even better, but work with what you have until you can get better, and Follow what you learn from it. That is what it is to be Muslim(at least a good start) Ma Salam(with Peace)

I listened to this lecture (I actually attended it) a couple of months before I became Muslim. It's very beautiful :mash:. In the lecture, Sidi Faysal Khalil talks about what the Bible says about Sayyiduna Muhammad :saw: and how he :saw: is linked to the previous prophets (peace and blessings be upon all them). The talk is called the Final Piece of the Jigsaw (it's about 3 hours long in total).
