As salaamu alaikum

What is Khaifiyyat?

Khalifa means representative.

"And we have made on earth a representative" as it says in the Qur'an.

It is the word that Abu Bakr al-Siddiq was given with when he succeeded as the political leader of the Islamic state - Khalifat Rasul Allah (representative of the Messenger of Allah)

When `Umar ibn Khattab recieved it they called him Khalifat Khalifat Rasul Allah (representative of the representative of the Messenger of Allah) so then they decided that Sayyidina `Umar would be the first to be given the name Ameer al-Momineen.

Wassalam.

Ma'af khalifa isn't the word ...I came across the term 'khaifiyyat' and it has a spiritual connotation, don't exactly know what though . JazakAllah Khair for the explanation anyway.

Khafi=hidden, concealed, minute, subtle. Khafiyat is the plural. Im not sure what the particular definition it has in the nomenclature of Tasawwuf.

JazakAllah Khair , Ma'af I've got the document, the actual context is:

Inform of any good "Kaifiyyaat" Experiences of Spiritual Kind.

Kaifiyat or Qaifiyat is Ecstasy , it cannot explained because it is a stage where all feeling are nullified , where salik forget himself and dhikr of ALLAh is dominant

I dnt agree with kashf kauni being a part of Qaifiyat. One doesnt need to experience Qaifiyat to experience kashf e kawni.

Kashf basically is of two types.

1. Kashf e Kauni ( seeing true dreams, or making true predictions or seeing beyond limits or hearing etc)

2. Kashf e Elahi ( Kashf e Elahi is the witnessings of Noor of ALLAh, etc) Such experience is through or through this Kashf, Qaifiyat is experienced. This is the type of Kashf for which a sufi must have desire and not for any other type of Kashf.

In addition I would like to say that attending Sama etc has a great influence on people and induces states of ecstasy rapidly as compared to doing dhikr ( but everything depends on ALLAh's will). That is the main reason for Sama being an integral part of the Chishtiyyah Silsila.

Any corrections on my opinions are welcome.

Kashf of every Sufi or wali cannot be used as a daleel in Shariah , because fatwas can only be given on outward or Zahiri conditions and not whats in some one's heart. Thats Y Muslims dont kill hypocrites unless they declare their hypocrisy. Punishing merely based on doubt is not justified.

As far as shariee evidence of Kashf is concerned, We have in Hadith the Incident where in Hazrat Umar ibn Khattab radhiallahu taa'la anhu warned Hazrath Sariyaa from Medina during a friday Sermon itself and a defeat was avoided.

3 things were noticed here :

1. Hazrat Uman ibn Khattab radhiallahu taa'la anhu saw and warned Hazrat Saariya radhiallahu taa'la anhu ( Ya Saariya , AL Jabal) where the distance between them was a few hundred miles.

2. Hazrat Saariya radhiallahu taa'la anhu heard it .

So two people were involved here possessing kashf.

Aal-e-Imran | 200 verses | The family of Imran سورة آل عمران Sura #3 | Madina

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "All the bounty is in the Hand of Allah; He grants to whom He wills. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures needs, the All-Knower."

But the following Hadith frm Bukhary Shareef will put away all your doubts about this topic InshaALLAh :

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Allah said, 'I will declare war against him who shows hostility to a pious worshipper of Mine. And the most beloved things with which My slave comes nearer to Me, is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him,
so I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his sense of sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks Me, I will give him, and if he asks My protection (Refuge), I will protect him; (i.e. give him My Refuge) and I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the believer, for he hates death, and I hate to disappoint him." (Book #76, Hadith #509)
