He makes some blatant mistakes though.
like the sharia started in the ninth century and he has a muslim name on top of it.

I would like to refute the article point by point. I found this on a board that
I frequent. Its a university of texas fan board, I found it on its philosophy board.

The divorce thing can easily be refuted using the following answers from
sunnipath.

and

Of course I have heard a lot of negative stuff about the hudood ordinance in Pakistan, since it rigrously wants four male muslim witnesses.

Have any contemporary ulema given thought to the use of

1) DNA tests
2) paternity tests
3) rape kit tests
in lieu of the four male witness thing. Like the director of the lab can testify
that based upon the results of the tests he is certain that certain thing
happened. Counting that as 1 or more testimonies.

How does one make sure that a rape victim doesnt get convicted for zina.
What if it really is a closed door case , he-said/she-said ( something like Kobe Bryant).

Lots of questions to answer.

Ziadden Sadar is one of these progressive "muslims".

Don't even bother reading their articles.
