where in sri lanka? - urgent!

i wasnt sure where to post this, as it is actually a question for u guys

there's a bro who has been askign me for sum time about putting him in touch with ulema in sri-lanka. He has just rcently accpeted that folowing a madhaab is correct but still highly influnced as to why you shouldn't follow one of the traditional 4 (he is of the Sha'fi madhaab).

he lives in columbo in Sri-Lanka, and will be going back in about 4 weeks time.

Does anyone know any institution where he can go and defintaely find sumone ( a scholar) that will teach him and that he can get hold of when needed as a reference point? He has a markez close to him, but he says he never seems to find ulema there and doesn't know how to go about locating them, Plus he not too keen on markez, seems to disliek it a bit So if anyone knows any institution where he can go, or scholar that quite easy to get hold of, please let me know soon!

Ask him to put aside his differences and go to the Markaz and ask them for assistance. If he opens up to them, then inshallah they will open up to him and guide him. If he does not want to speak to just any lay man there, ask him to go to one of the elders or the ameer.

ive tried the markez thing, but his one is very busy and well he says he cnat get hold of anyone there.

n he intersted in learning n gaining 'knowledge'. he very firmly belives the people at the markez have no knowledge, and well its not entirely false. I mean the aim of the effort is to reveive the imaan of teh poeple, conentrating on virtues of acts and adaab of eating sleeping etc. Only the ulema there can help in what he is after, but he says he can never get hold of them. Unfortunately today, our youth want 'knowledge', as in fiqh, arabic etc etc, not realsing that you cnat do that type of thign in 2 weeks!!
