Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim

Since the thread was shutdown before I could comment to my sister on the subject. I would urge anyone To ask Shaykh Habib Umar or Shaykh Habib Ali about Mawlana Shaykh Nazim when you visit Darul Mostafa in Tarim. Anyone can ask Shaykh Hamza Yusuf on Mawlana Status considering he visited Lefke, Cyprus rougly about a month ago to talk with mawlana. You can ask Shaykh Yacoubi about Mawlana Shaykh Nazim status. The Late Mufti of Syria Shaykh Kuftaro (may Allah enlighten his grave more and more) was also a Naqshbandi and research on what he quotes about Mawlana Shaykh Nazim or the late Ba Alawi/Maliki Shaykh.. Shaykh Mohamed Alawi (may Allah enlighten his grave more and more) so what he said said about mawlana. The list goes on and on..the only Naqshbandis that do not acknowledge Mawlana are the deobandi Naqshbandis. The Naqshbandi Aslamis of Uk .. ask them about Mawlana see what they say..ask the Qadiri family who are in charge of the Maqam of Shaykh Abd Al Qadir Jilani (may Allah enlighten his grave more and more) if they put the turban of Ghawth Shaykh Abd Al Qadir Jilani (may Allah enlighten his grace more and more) on the head of Mawlana's blessed head. Let us also not forget he is also a Grandchild of our Nabi Sala Allah Alayhi wa salam a hassani/hussein syed from the line of Shaykh Abd Al Qadir Jilani (may Allah enlighten his grace more and more) who is also one of his grandfathers and from his mothers side Shaykh Jalaludeen Rumi (may Allah enlighten his grave more and more) who is a descendent of Hazrat Abu Bakr as siddqi Radi Allah anhu. I can go on and on.. . do I really need to? :)

Could there be some big differences between Hisham Kabbani (the son) and Nizam Kabbani (the father)?

:salam:

Those are a lot of worthy credentials :mash:, but when someone sees something that seems iffy with their own eyes, it doesn't leave a good image of the person. But, I wouldn't rely on Al-Jazeera for a valid picture of them either. I don't speak bad about them, but I've noticed some random things in that tariqa that have bothered me at times. I believe the Deobandi Naqshbandis might have some issues with these same reasons, AllahuAlim.

However I do have one question, the point you mentioned of their relatives. I know its a great thing and all, and it's great to know where you came from, but how is it relevent that if he's from so and so line the person will be a great human being. I know of people who are Ahul Bayt, Sunni, but they don't practice Islam. Saddening yes, but it's the truth. We are guided by Allah, and how much we work hard for the deen and seeking the knowledge should count first and foremost, not the lineage.

I'm sure this will get locked as well...

Salamu `alaykum

Shaykh Hisham is his son-in-law, not his son.

Yes, there are some differences, and ultimate allegiance goes back to the Grand Shaykh. The mere fact that a man such as Sayyidi Gibril is his murid is enough evidence.

However, what Br. Tazkiyah said should be enough to lay this topic to rest. Whatever al Jazeera, Cnn, O Reilly, or Bill Maher have to say regarding the reliability of someones religion is not worth anything next to the qawl of the `ulema. Its shocking why people would weigh one over the other.
