This is killin' me...

Okay, just a little background,,
I had put my preschooler in a nice Islamic School and things were going really great and the entire year ended well. They had usual parties and the food served was always cheese pizza. fine there.

well, today, being the last day at school, there was a scheduled field trip. The kids got back from the zoo and guess what they were served? McDonalds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My kid was telling me he ate chicken nugget and fries!
Oh my goodness, its just unbearable!
Any advice where I go about? and top it all school will be off for a week?

All the precaution in sending him to preschool.......................................

Firstly, were you not informed that they will be fed Mcdonalds? Who paid for their meal? They should have had parental consent in order to do that.
You should take the matter with the administration of the school. Tell them how you were not informed that your child will be fed meat from outdoors and this is something very serious to you.

Sometimes Islamic schools may deem soemthing as permissible which some parents may have a problem with, but they make exceptions, because they have to! When I was teaching at an Islamic school, there was a child who's parents did not want her taking pics, but the school took em'. The mother of the child had a talk with the administration and complained that they did so w/o her consent. Thereafter, the school administration was very careful with these matters. :insh: you can also make a difference by talking to the administration.

Just for the update, I did have a talk with the headmaster and he tried to explain me how many ppl justify eating chicken blah blah.. Nevertheless, we worked it out for next time I would ask clearly about the entire program and not let this sort of accident happen. May Allah forgive us.
