I don't understand why you're doing this as if you're "exposing" the tariq, since you have "many concerns" with "sufi" tariqas. If you don't agree with it, or find some things not from the Sunnah, and so on, then perhaps it's a sign that the tariqa is not for you. Making posts such as this will only make it seem that you're trying to mock them. A lot of this sufi stuff in some tariqas is on the high end with it comes to deeper meanings and such. SO don't be surprised if these posted are deleted or locked.

Why is it wrong for the brother to seek clarifcation for these apparently controversial practices and sayings?

Also, I am nearly 100% sure that our brother TraditionalIslam has NO problem whatsoever with the concept of tasawwuf, rather he is simply concerned about certain groups that affiliate themselves with tasawwuf. I myself have many of the same concerns as he does, however it doesn't mean that I have a problem with tasawwuf as a whole.

Brother, I didn't mean in a wrong way, but it seemed like he was intending harm to the Naqshbandi Haqqanis, that's all. Earlier he had a problem with hadrah, so it's obvious some of the things he mentioned might confuse him even more. Heck, they confuse me too, but I don't really dabble into it, bc I'm not a NH, nor do I plan to be one. It'd help if this forum had a few more of those brothers...

I don't see any harm in asking about sufis and their teachings. There are real SUFIS in our time but the problem is with people who think they are sufis but act contrary to the teachings of tasawwuf.
Imam Junaid al-Baghdadi have stated that Tasawwuf is from the teaching of the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of our Holy Prophet s.a.w.
Shaykh al-Akbar, Imam Muhyi ad-Din Ibnu Arabi have warned us about Pseudo sufis, so did al-Qutub Shaykh Abdul Wahhab ash-Sha'rani.
In essence, the teaching of tasawwuf is in accordance with the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah.
According to my mursyid, Aqidah, Shariah and Tariqah must go hand in hand.
For example, during Solat, for it to be accepted by ALLAH SWT, a person performing Solat must possess the true Aqidah of Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamaah (Aqidah). Before and during Solat, he must have the fard' ain knowledge about Solat (Shariah) and also during Solat, his mind should not be wandering about thinking of everything but forgetting ALLAH SWT!
To learn about Tasawwuf, a good guide will be Imam al-Ghazali's Ihya', but as have been said, learn from a teacher...

I would agree. Threads like this should be deleted or closed.
