:salam:
Can any brother or sister recommend a good hanafi fiqh book, which goes through the fiqh issues pretatining to salat and other duties such as zakat, fasting etc etc.
I was given one title before, cant quite remember the name, but had trouble finding te book. If anyone can recommend me a title than i will inshallah find it in the local bookstore.
Thanks
Yusuf

Wa 'alaykum us-salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
From SunniPath Answers:
Hanafi Fiqh Manual
Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani
Q. Would also appreciate very much if you could recommend a Hanafi fiqh manual the like of Shaykh Nuh Keller's Reliance.

In English, there is nothing like this. There is a decent translation
of Heavenly Ornaments by Sh. Ashraf al-Tahanawi (Zam Zam Publications, see:
http://www.alrashad.com or http://www.albalagh.net/bookstore), and of Taleemul Haq. Both are available online, too.
Wassalam,
Faraz Rabbani.
Shaykh 'Abdur-Rahman ibn Yusuf says in another SunniPath answer:
For a good work on fiqh we could recommend the "Talim al-Haq" or the "Heavenly Ornaments." For history we can recommend "The History of Islam" in three volumes by Maulana Akbar Shah Khan Najeebabadi.

The online versions mentioned by Shaykh Faraz are available here:

Salaam
Nur ul Idah is a good fiqh book which (as far as I know) is memorised in Syria by students studying Hanafi fiqh.
The text is written in Arabic but the first chapter (The book of Taharah) is made available in English here:

Thank you very much people. I have heard alot about talim-ul-haq and heavenly ornaments. InshAllah i will invest in them both. But 1 at a time, as i feel it would be better to go through one book at a time.

I looked for that history book, and found only a version published by Darussalam: http://kitaabun.com/shopping3/product_info.php?cPath=55_48&products_id=1460&osCsid=974a33e165d2e0a413293db0674378f0
I'm not sure if this is an appropriate question, but do you think it is "safe"? They claim to have sifted out the authentic events...

Salaam, Hidayah in arabic is found widespread online like in :
www.al-islam.com
I do have the Charles Hamilton (english) version Hidayah on word format, the format of the book in word is rubbish, no paragraphs or anything.
however, i'll try and get yu the source of the english version as i have forgotten where i had got it from.
By the way, you do know that Hidayah is a complex hanafi text, and is not reccomended for one to study it n its own, as one may get confused over a few issues, specially in the 'Transactions' related issues, especially without a commentary to it, i know this is like a commentary to quduri, but in essence it self is a matn, and within the matn it has quduri in it.

An excellent translation (very new and nice) can be found here. Please note it is different to the translation by Charles Hammleton (who as far as I am aware wasn't muslim, so gave a biased translation!) and it is newly translated by scholars.

I don't think it is available online though!
