doesnt get more specific than this: any pointers for the ein sound? That sound just does not come out of me, I dont know why. A sister in my class told me to bite down on an apple and then try, but I cant really walk around with an apple in my bag and whip it out every time we do tajweed :) does anyone have any tips that don't require produce?

I dont really understand the concept of things coming from 3 different parts of your throat. I only have one part. Everything comes from there.

Tajweed is very confusing :(

Pronounce it from the middle of the throat.

Aslaamu alaikum wa rehmatullahi wa barakaatohu sis

the best way to learn tajwid is from a teacher, because the teacher is better able to note ur mistake, if u make any.

There are 17 specific points of articulation (ie. makharij-un-khasah). By knowing the SPECIFIC points of articulation of the letters (where the letters emerge from and how they r pronounced), you can pronounce each letter properly because you know exactly where it's point of articulation is.

As for the letter EIN, its point of articulation is THE MIDDLE PART OF THE THROAT --> (from wasatul halq).

- one way to find this point of articulation is to place ur fingers at the middle part of the throat n try to make the throat vibrate at that position.

...but yeh...inshAllah get urself a teacher ...may Allah make it easy for u. ameen.

lol at "I only have one part. Everything comes from there."

TAJWID is actually BEAUTIFUL. IT is to recite the Quran in a manner similar to RasulAllah SalAllahu alaihi wasallam, and to keep in consideration all the makhaarij (points of articulation) and the characteristics of the letters.

IN ISLAM, EVERYTHING HAS A RIGHT. THE LETTERS TOO HAVE A RIGHT :).
IT IS TO PRONOUNCE THEM PROPERLY. :) {a quote from my teacher}

so tajwid, is to give each letter its right. :thumbsup:

waslaam
may Allah make it easy for us to recite the Quran like our beloved Nabi. :saw:
please make dua for me. :(
