Whoo hoo!! Shaykh Ahmad Ali is coming to London tonight, inshaAllah.

He'll be delivering a talk after khatmul Quran tonight at Azhar Academy. :)

Please make dua he comes, we need the sunni touch!

insha'allah he'll come to Canada this year or the next too

I love his lectures. They're really inspirational Masha'allah.

Was there some non-sunni touch creeping in? or was the sunniness going down a bit lately that a fresh sunni boost is needed to come back to the level of being satisfied as a sunni again?

Well, I would be doing injustice to the shuyukh who are working "behind the scenes" through different mediums such as, madrasas, if I were to say that sunni shuyukh are not doing enough. However I sincerely believe that its high time the enemies of islam were exposed for what they really are. This is the only way we muslims can begin to differentiate between pure aqaaid ul ahl as sunnah wal jama'ah and the practice of the salafus saaleh from deviant beliefs and innovated matters. Most, if not all, conferences and frequent seminars are run by salafis or those with salafi inclinations. We dont have english speaking sunni shuyukh who hold such conferences, rather, the best ones are those indo-pak scholars who teach at madrasa, with little knowledge of the english language. While its true that the shuyukh are preparing and arming the youths and laymen for the future, something needs to be done before its too late. Khair. Hasbunallah.
