Salamu'alaikum, is it permitted to pray with a tuque(thick winter hat on your head)...the reason I'm asking is because, the tuque could go in the way of your forehead touching the ground, and make like a cushiony surface...sorry if I'm unclear

Also, this may seem like a dumb question but it it alright to pray and make wudu with your money and ID cards in your pockets...I ask because the have picture on them..

Jazak Allah

Assalamu alaikum wr wb

Just move the turque up before you start your salah, and when you go down in sujud make sure that the hat is up and that your forehead is clearly touching the ground. Or else it's considered invalid and has to be done again.

You can pray with money and ID cards in your pocket and even make wudu with them as they are in your pocket and not visible but inside and covered so it's ok.

It is valid to prostrate with some or all of one's forehead covered, as mentioned in Maraqi al-Falah, and other texts. It is somewhat disliked, however, especially in the latter case, unless there is an excuse. It should be noted that in the Shafi`i school, it is a condition for the validity of one's prostration that at least a little of the forehead be directly in contract during prostration.

In the Hanafi school, it is a condition for the prostration to be valid, however, that the prostration be on the area of the forehead, and that one be able to feel the 'weight of the ground' if one were to press down further, though it is not necessary to actually do so.

فَإِنْ سَجَدَ عَلَى كَوْرِ عِمَامَتِهِ أَوْ فَاضِلِ ثَوْبِهِ جَازَ

( الهداية )

If he prostrated on the winding of his turban or the end of a garment it is permissible [but disliked].

(Hidayah, Quduri)

Same principle would apply to tuques and kufis (topis).
