As-salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullah,

Would anyone be interested in translating the Urdu Poems, found at: http://www.tasawwuf.org/audio/general_urdu.htm. Especially http://www.tasawwuf.org/audio/poems/hajatrawa_konhai.wma. My Urdu is very very weak, so I cannot grasp the full meaning when listening to them. I know this may be a time consuming project, but the rewards, insha Allah, will be worth it. If anyone hasn't met Shaykh Zulfiqar, i would advise they make the effort to, next time he's in the UK - scheduled to be here in May, inshaAllah.

Here's a transcription of Hazratji's English version of Dil Badal De (transcribed by a dear friend - jazahullahu khairan):

Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad (db)
“Change my dead heart”

Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again, give me a fresh start
Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again, give me a fresh start

So change my heart please and wash the filth away
Don’t leave me drowning here alone and astray.
So change my heart please and wash the filth away
Don’t leave me drowning here alone and astray.

I spent my life running away from you
I spent my life running away from you
And now I have no where to turn except to you

I turn to you and begging you to be saved
I turn to you and begging you to be saved
And change me into an obedient slave
I turn to you and begging you to be saved
And change me into an obedient slave

Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again, give me a fresh start

I have been doing all my life what I craved
I have been doing all my life what I craved
Shaytan and nafs have always held me enslaved

I am ashamed that I have broken your rules
I am ashamed that I have broken your rules
Worshiped my nafs and feel an ignorant fool

But now I know the path leading me to deen
I bow to you and asking you to help me
But now I know the path leading me to deen
I bow to you and asking you to help me

Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again, give me a fresh start

I wish your name to be engraved in my heart
I wish your name to be engraved in my heart
I will be grateful to you – change this dead heart
I wish your name to be engraved in my heart
I will be grateful to you – change this dead heart

My heart is dark and so my eyes remain dry
Hypocrisy and hubris won’t let me cry

I’m at your door and begging you let me in
I’m at your door and begging you let me in
Don’t push me back to my hopeless life of sin
I’m at your door and begging you let me in
Don’t push me back to my hopeless life of sin

So change my heart and forgive my sins this day
Don’t leave me drowning here alone and astray

Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again, give me a fresh start

Wa 'alaikum as-salaam wa rahmatullah,

Jazakillahu khairan for the reply. The broken link should have linked to the following poem: Hajat Rava Kon Hai. I look forward to seeing the translated version.........

For all those in the UK, I was informed that Shaykh Zulfiqar will not be visiting the UK this Ramadhan

Allah ko Apna Banalo
Allah ko Dil mein Basalo
Allah ko Dil mein Basalo
Allah se lao laga lo
Yeh Zindagi Ek muhla hai
Ruthay Huay Rab ko Manalo

Allah ko Apna banalo
Allah ko Apna banalo

Ab saba Rishton ko chodho
Allah se Rishta joddo
Har ghair se Ab hat kat ke
Allah se lao laga lo

Allah ko Apna banalo
Allah ko Apna banalo

Allah se Ghaflat kaisi ?
Allah se doori kaisi ?
Ab sab wirdon ko chodhon
Allah ko wird banalo

Allah ko Apna banalo
Allah ko Apna banalo

MUHABAT E ILLAHI PAR MUSHTAMIL ASHAAR

Har tamanna Dil se rukhsat hogayyi
Ab to Aaja Ab to Khilwat hogayyi
Ek Inn se kya Muhabat hogayyi
sari dunya hi se wahshat hogayyi
Lakh jhidko Ab kahan phirta hai Dil
Hogayyi Ab to Muhabat hogayyi

Teri Ek Nigah ki baat hai
Meri Zindagi ka sawal hai
Mujhey Apni pasti ki hai sharm
Teri rafaaton ka khayal hai
Magar Apne Dil ka kya karuun
Isse phir bhi shauq e wisaal hai

Jis Qalb ki garmi ne Dil phoonk diye Lakhon
Iss qalb mein Ya ALLAH kya Aag bhari hoggi

Meri har nazar Teri muntazir
Teri har nazar mera Imteyhaan

Ek dum bhi Muhabat chup na saki
Jab tera kisi ne naam liya

ALLAH ALLAH ALLAH

Dil e Maghmoom ko Masroor kardey
Dil e bey Noor ko pur Noor kardey

Farozaan Dil mein Sham e Toor Kardey
Ye goshaa Noor se Maamoor kardey

Mera zaahir sanwar jaaye Illahi
Meray Baatin ki zulmat door kardey

Maay e wahdat pila makhmoor kardey
Muhbat ke nashey mein choor kardey

Na dil Maail ho mera unki jaanib
jinhey teri aata maghroor kardey
