Assalaamualaikum
I found this in an article in The art of ‘sacred’ lying - Daily times Pakistan (http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=story_9-11-2004_pg3_4)
Is lying permissible?
And if so, when is it permissible?
If anyone knows anything about it please help an interested sister out. Personal opinions not requested. I want proof from quraan and sunnah.
Ma'as Salam
Your sister fisabillah

1352. Abu Hurairah and Jabir (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "War is deception.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Commentary: "Khad`ah'' means deception, i.e., employing a strategy which causes misunderstanding to the enemy, and one's real intent does not become evident to them. This is permissible in Islam in the state of war.

I'd just like to say that whether kazib-e-muqaddas is correct or not, Khalid Ahmad is a zindeeq, open denier of the necessities of the deen {as you can see from his reference to the Mahdi as a "fable"} and a purveyor of "kazib -e- Ghayr Muqaddas", so his words are not worth any consideration at all.
Secondly, it occurs to me that your intent behind this question might be to know the differences between the Ahl us Sunnah and the rawafidh in "Taqiyyah", so some of the big differences are:
1- According to the Ahl us Sunnah, there is no thawaab for taqiyyah, it is neither Waajib nor Fardh and there is no fadheelah in it.
2- According to the Ahl us Sunnah taqiyyah is allowed only in situations of extreme fear and danger, just like how you're allowed to eat pork when there is no other food and there is a real fear that you'll die of starvation. So taqiyyah is not Jaiz for the Ahl us Sunnah, just like eating pork is not jaiz for the Ahl us Sunnah.
3- Even in situations of extreme fear and danger the Ahl us Sunnah deem taqiyyah to be jaiz only not Fardh or Waajib. If someone does not do Taqiyyah and is killed, he will rewarded for it. There is fadheelah in not doing Taqiyyah.
4- Even in situations of extreme fear and danger the Ahl us Sunnah do not deem taqiyyah to be jaiz for Ambiyaa `alyhimussalaam or for religious leaders from whose taqiyyah, the deen will be harmed. It is a rukhsah {dispensation} given only to those people whose taqiyyah will have no effect on the deen of the commoners.
