Something i have seen on other forums.

I am aware the nature of this forum, with its vibrant, sucessful and trutful people of the sunni world. But, there needs to be a place for non muslims to ask, discuss and read material which may be easy for them to understand.

Not go into the othersections are read about Noor, Shia, etc.

What you think?

So we can alsopost, like comparitive articles, christian related articles, and also invite our non muslims friends, i dont think, if we invite them now, it will be useful to them that much...

Yeah I was thinking that too. There's this website I came across run by a non-muslim which slanders Islam, I contacted him regarding it, but obviously I dont want to go into too much one-to-one discussion with him. So I think here, a dawah forum would be a good idea, because he is willing to learn about Islam, it would be such a good opportunity to clear up misconceptions, and show others what Islam is really about.

Sounds like an idea.. I don't think we've had that many non-muslims on yet. Have we?

Not that I've noticed, but it might help to attract people here, rather than to the salafi boards, which all seem to have a non-muslim section. And if anyone comes across any non-muslims who wish to learn, as I have, they can be referred to this board. I think it's a brilliant idea.

Hmm, just wary we might be giving an open invite to people like LGF (littlegreenfootballs)...but otherwise it's a good idea, a way we can Insha-Allah begin to dispel some of the misconceptions that non-Muslims have of Islam. So definitely a step in the right direction.

But I think, we are also in need of a forum for reverts (converts), a place for them to ask any questions they need answering, and also where we can offer some kind of foundation of support to them...Insha-Allah.

oh that's right...lgf, i hope those ppl have given up on their plea to harass muslims... i know they're the cause for sv to go down...lets hope that they dont bring sf down either. insha'Allah.

Though this is just a suggestion...if we do open up a non muslim forum we should allow the non muslims to participate in that one only until they can be proven to be good like if they just come here to harass you then they shouldn't be allowed on here at all..after 3 warnings they can be sent to the jail forum to hang and cool down having their time out without the chai.
but if they prove to be good people then perhaps allowing them to participate in the other forums would be good. And they should all register too...
