1.When my mum was alive I would say horrible things to her mostly behind her back. Now I regret saying these thing but I can't apologize to her because she's dead. How can I get her forgiveness and make her pleased with me?

To answer your question:
1. Honoring your mother:
Whenever you pray, fervently ask Allah Ta'ala to forgive you for the things you said about your mother. Then, ask Allah Ta'ala to forgive your mother, make her grave wide and spacious for her, and admit her to the loftiest gardens of paradise. Another important thing you can do is to recite from the Qur'an, and even organize a gathering for this purpose, and donate the reward of the recitation to your mother. It is also permissible to perform other acts of worship, such as fasting and giving in charity, with the intention to donate their reward to the deceased. Please consult Reliance of the Traveler (tr. Shaykh Nuh Keller, may Allah preserve him) pp. 928-930 for more details.
The Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace, used to honor his beloved wife, Lady Khadija, by honoring those she loved. In that spirit, befriend your mother's friends. Visit them and give them gifts. How did your mother enjoy spending her time? Try to spend your time in the same way. If you have children, then tell them about your mother and endear them to her memory
