Isn't the answer to number one about who the reigns of the religion would pass to? (his sons or one of his closest friends) I could be wrong, but from what I was explained (in a nutshell), the big schiscm happened there.

For 3: perhaps one could answer that even though religion teaches/values certain things, no one is perfect, we all make mistakes and either a) not everyone practices the same religion/upholds the same values or b) there are corrupt people in every religion/country/region so there will always be those who do not care for (or can't adhere to) laws or rules.

#4: Are you talking about the pants/shorts below the knees?

#11: Didn't Allah order that this be done? If he orders it, then you must do it.

I might be wrong on all accounts, I am just giving my opinion here. I'm really interested in seing what people will find as answers.

I am just voicing my opinion:

(2) SUNNI ->the prophet muhammed told us to live life like him. Some branches have been introduced but clearly the sunnah of the prophet muhammed (saw) is the one we must follow.

(3) Not only does this happen in Saudi but in many other countries. People often criticise this country without looking at themselves, their country or the country they are living in. Saudi is a big country with certain relevant and holy places. However, the shaytan incites hatred, resentment and unlawful doings and misdoings. It is up to a person to make the better of themselves and to be loyal to Allah. The munafiqeen will be punished in the akhira.

(4) Muslim men do dress according to the qur'an covering themselves from the navel. They must grow their beards and shave their head etc etc.

(6) Astigfurallah...I have never heard of that. The prophet Muhammed was chosen as a messenger but he was still the slave of allah. None has the right to be worshipped other than Allah (swt). That is the first pillar of islam and why should anyone ignore that.

In The Name of Allah, The Inspirer of Truth and Wisdom

1.) This splitting of Muslims is a phenomenon which has affected the other monotheistic traditions as well (Christianity and Judaism). The Prophet Muhammad SAS even predicted this would happen in the well-known hadith of Muslims splitting into 73 sects. This is a natural phenomenon which faces any large community. The lesson to derive is that it's a fitnah (tribulation) and we must stay steadfast and stick to the majority (al-jamaa'ah).

2.) Look above for the answer to this question. But here is the hadith: "Awf ibn Malik reported that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, 'The Jews split into 71 sects: one will enter Paradise and 70 will enter Hell. The Christians split into 72 sects: 71 will enter Hell and one will enter Paradise. By Him in Whose hand is my soul, my Ummah will split into 73 sects: one will enter Paradise and 72 will enter Hell.' Someone asked, 'O Messenger ofAllah (Peace be upon him), who will they be?' He replied, 'The main body of the Muslims (al-Jama'ah).' Awf ibn Malik is the only one who reported this Hadith, and its isnad is acceptable." And in another version of this Hadith the Prophet (Peace be upon him) goes onto say that the saved sect, "...Are those who follow my and my Sahaba's path" (Tirmidhi, vol. 2, pg. 89)"

3.) Actually, Saudi is NOT ruled by shari'ah. They may have some Islamic practices within their law, but their government is not recognized as being ruled by Islamic law. Regardless, even if it WAS ruled by shari'ah, the munkar and corruption in society will still happen, because people will naturally sin. The shari'ah is there to limit this and avoid widespread corruption to the whole society.

4.) Since when is Muslim male dress mentioned in the Qur'an? Rather, the guidelines for male and female dress are in the Qur'an. This is why Muslims from Pakistan dress differently than Muslims from Indonesia. However, their guidelines of modesty are still compatible. Also, the guidelines for female differ from that of a male because of the inherent differences in the female and male physique. People like to point out why do females only cover their hair? Well, it's a confirmed sunnah for males to do so as well (Bear in mind that it's sunnah for males and fard for females).

5.) Actually, there is not consensus that Akbar was a Muslim, as he held deviant views which were in contradiction to Islamic ideology. What do you mean why do we "rule him as a leader?" Do you mean why do we consider him as a great Muslim leader? Again, he had policies which were leninent to the mushrikeen, which is why Orientialists look to him as a model leader.

6.) This is an absurd question. There are probably deviant Muslims in Kashmir who partake in such ridiculous practices, but nowhere will you find such practices justified. If anything, I could see the Muslims there cherising the Prophet's (SAS) hair and sword as "good luck" charms which may possibly contain "barakah". However, such assumptions are wrong, and is likely characteristic of a community with a lack of true scholars to prevent such practices.

7.) The black stone is a piece of rock which itsef was descended from the heavens. The black stone is NOT in any way connected to the Hindu deity Shiva or other idolotrous things.

8.) No one "beats" themselves during Hajj. Where does such a thing occur? The stoning of Shaytan in Mina is meant to follow the events which occured during the lifetime of Ibrahim AS, where he stoned Satan--who was trying to prevent him to sacrifice his son Isma'il--at 3 separate locations in the valley of Mina.

9.) Such people are acting on emotion and their actions are not justified. The anger should be there, but not directed in this sort of manner.

10.) We do let Allah SWT decide a person's punishment. However, the reason why the hadd (punishment) is carried out in this life is because if one's sins are not rectified in this life, Allah SWT will do so in the akhirah. Considering that the punishments and rewards of the hereafter are signifcantly amplified, one should be glad to have their sins rectified in this life.

11.) The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give peace) said: “The practices related to Fitrah (natural human ways) are five: Circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, trimming the moustache, cutting the nails and removing the hair of the underarm” ( Sahih al-Bukhari) Also, taken from SunniPath: 'Furthermore circumcision is an important aspect of taharah (cleanliness), which is so strongly emphasised in Islam, for when the foreskin is not removed, urine and other secretions can collect under the folded skin. This area can become the site of very painful infections from bacterial growth and the minor operation of circumcision greatly simplifies basic hygiene for men and boys. "Indeed God loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure" - Qur'an Surah al-Baqarah'

I hope these answered your questions.
