Muslimah in the south

I am new to the forum and just wanted to say hello to all of the sisters and brothers. I am a new Muslimah. I made my shahada 06-24-07, Alhamdullilah.
I am in Augusta, GA and I am a student. I haven't seen many muslimahs in my city who cover the way I do :( . I wear hijab and I only show my face and hands. Subhan Allah. I would like to mention that I am not familiar with the different schools of thought. I did not know the names of them until running into this website. If anyone can elaborate on them, I'd appreciate it.

My advice would be to take one step at a time and not rush things since you are a new convert and do not think that you have to learn things all at once - Just take baby steps.

As salaamu alaikum wa ramatullah,

Mulsimah in the south. Lonely but not alone. As I mentioned I made my shahada 06-24 and I praise Allah for it because I would not have if it wasn't for Allah. I wear hijab because Allah saved me and to show love, I obey. I praise Allah for this too. Not self-praise for what I do but praise be to the Most High for being given the chance to do what I ought to do. Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon all of the Prophets and Messengers and us all. Thank you all for the info to learn about the Madhhabs (hope that is the correct plural form if not please correct me).

as salaam alaykum sister in islam .Iam sarah i converted 2 islam a couple of weeks ago i was jewish and it was really hard 4 me may god give u the strength and the iman may god guide u 2 the right way as he done with me .elhamdullilah i am very happy now tha i am muslim and inshallah u will be 2 u are very welcome 2 write back sister love sarah
