Book: Taleemul Islam ("Teachings of Islam")

Thought this would be a good book for kids or maybe parents to print out and go through :insh:. It's called Taleemul Islam ("Teachings of Islam") by Allaamah Mufti Muhammad Kifaayatullah. It's really good :mash: - goes through all the basic things Hanafi muslims should know :insh:.

I know it says it's for kids, but I think even the likes of me can benefit!

I don't recommend trying to read it online, as it's been made to print out :insh: (the pages are in a really whacky order, but they should align up once printed!)

I have this book at home, its good for the most part but the style of writing is not something which appeals to myself. Personally for this category i would recommend Talimul Haq which deals with the same things, and is cheap to buy aswell

:mash: these are fantastic, i was just testing the girls on very same thing from talimul haq, (I have only been through the first attachment so far) Taleemul islam appears to be the same as talimul haq except it has more questions on Islam which is the only addition i think...


i would recommend Talimul Haq which deals with the same things, and is cheap to buy aswell The kids in masjid don't think it is cheap lol

it truly is a brilliant book :)
Been using it since 4eva and u no i was told even wen sisters are in thier fifth yr in aalimah class they use it as a quick reference book... how cool is that?! :)

All the kids in masjid have a copy :alhamd: , i think most of the kids paid £3.50 for it... So they were saying, I think i'll have to look into it seen as the price on azhar academy is £1.50 :subh:

I agree it's a book everyone must have...

I've had the book for years so haven't a clue how much i paid...

Jazak'Allah Khairan for the online link, It might come in handy in passing on to kids at masjid who keep losing their books... the girls in masjid are currently being tested on the sunnats, fardhs, makroohs of wudu and namaz etc...

That is ta'limul haq compiled by a South-African Mawlana. Not Talimul Islam.

Talimul Islam has next to some basic information about prayer, wudu, zakat etc. also some nice, clear texts on issues such as shirk, bid'at and sifaat of Allah. It is certainly not something only for children and perhaps many of them would not even understand some of the texts mentioned therein when it comes to Aqida.
