The fasting person can begin fasting whilst in the state of janaabah

phophet Muhammed (SAW) practice that if he was in a state of janaabah from his wives when dawn broke he would take a bath after the break of dawn and fast. From Aa'ishah and Umm Salamah, radiyallaahu 'anhumaa: 'That sometimes the prophet (SAW) was in a state if janaabah from his wives and Fajr came upon him, then he would bathe and fast' (reported by al bakhaaree (4/123) and Muslim (no.1109))

Assalamu alaikum,

Brother Syed, the ahadith quoted above is sufficient. There is nothing from the sunnah that vitiates the fasting of someone in the state of janaba. You can also eat your suhur in the state of janaba and your fasting remains valid.

Assalamu alaikum,

Sister Tasnim, seeing that this was your first post, i assumed that you are just joining the forum so I wish to seize this opportunity to welcome you.

Its also a wonderfukl way to start by providing an answer based on what is in the sunnah. May Allah reward you for your effort.
