Assalamu alaykum,

I am a mother and I work full time. i dont have leave to take for i'tikaf for ramadhan and I manage my child alone. Can someone please advice in shafii fiqh, can I do short i'tikaf the last 10 days.... not full whole day but as much time as I can do out of work and home commitment at home at night. Is that acceptable?
Please guide me what is good to do during i'tikaf.
I know this sounds like making excuses but I really wnat to do something fruitful this ramadhan despite my cicumstances.
Jazakumullah khair.:jazak:

Ukhti, you can set up an area/room specifically for your ibaadah, when you finish your duties go sit there with the intention of nafl i'tikaaf and inshAllah you will get a similar reward...And make dua for me aswell :p
