Titled: Tala'al Badru 'Alayna
I came across many versions of it on the net, but Alahamdulillah I finally found the one I was searching for:
http://www.alnabee.com/Saound/syria/tala3albader.rm
And quickly d/l it on my computer. You can really appreciate it if you understand Arabic. Subhanallah....It's amazing...
I found it through Sidi Faraz Rabbani's weblog:

Below is the same file in mp3 format, slightly better quality.
(Since I'm running out of storage space, I'll only make it available for a few days... after which I'll remove the file. Download it while you can :insh:!)

Jazakumullah Saleel for that mp3 file which is much smaller. The other one is like 20MB.

I just heard some other versions of it, and I think they are no where near how good this one is. This 16 minutes is the whole thing. I hope I can find the Arabic of it written out somewhere on the net.

Yes, Insha'allah. I've re-uploaded it, so feel free to re-download it, Insha'allah. Please reply here though once you've downloaded it so I don't delete it too early.
(In any case, I'll keep it up for a couple of days in case anyone else also wants to download it Insha'allah.).

as salaamu 'alaykum,
Apologies for bringing up an old thread..
None of the links in this thread work for me and I would very much like to download the version in the original post. If anyone has a fresh link that would lead me to said nasheed, please do share.

The link I posted gives the rendering by Burhān al-Dīn Rabbānī. I am not sure if it is the same as the one referred to by eTeacher more than four years ago in this thread. The site mentioned by eTeacher no longer has any sound files.

“The One , The One”
The One , the One" were the screams that came
From the desert which was filled with men of shame
Who planned to break a true mans soul
who had submitted and surrendered his life to "the One" as a whole
Under the burning sun he carried the weight of a rock placed on his bare chest
but He laughed in pain to the shock of the rest
"How do we break his will and change his kind"
Allah is the One and there can be no pain in this world to change that from his mind
Will I ever be like "Bilal"
"I will today finish this story and stop anymore people from joining this man"
And he left his house with his sword and a plan
On the way he was told of news that he was shocked to hear
"how dare my sister think of doing what I tell others to fear"
With his anger and rage he reaches his sisters abode
now kicks and slaps anyone who tries to make themselves heard
His sister finally screams in pain "I too carry the blood of Al Khataab in my veins"
"and are you the great Omar who now hurts a harmless woman and give her pain"
He stops only to insist that he must read what he had earlier heard
to which the blessed woman asks him to be clean and then proceed forward
As this happened in a corner of Mecca where time was fleeting
Allah's blessed prophet had raised his hands to ask of him to choose one of the Omar's to be blessed with Allah's Divine blessing
It was indeed Omar Ibn Al Khataab that Allah had chosen
to be Islam's greatest Khalif that was known for his anger as he was known for his reason
And when Omar was given Islam's reign
He ruled only to bring the umah together and closer to Allah's name
Will I ever be like Omar
When no soul besides the blessed one knew of Allah's word
there was only one who accepted and spread Islam like a free bird
He his known in history as the man who is loved by the umah for the one he loved
Who was the first to believe the almighty that they both loved
Never has the world seen a man so true
who is filled with compassion for the blessed one and sincere faith in the almighty as his only virtue
And when the call came to give in Allah's name
He left nothing behind besides something to cover his shame
"Today the angels will be dressed as you have"
" As Allah is pleased with how much you have"
He was one of the three in the cave
who emptied his wealth to free the slaves
They say he spoke nothing besides the blessed prophet’s words
and he guided the umah like a shepherd who looks after his heard
And when the time came to find a leader
It was the Blessed soul’s wish to see this man further than all others
Will I ever be like Abu Baqer
In a dark cave a chosen angel came with a message that was pure
And cleaned his chest with a divine cure
He shivered with shock and fear
Only for his beloved wife to hold him near
He was about to commence a journey that would change the world
To believe in the One Almighty and to live for the hereafter world
They tried everything to defeat him, but all in vain
How can you stop those people whose numbers grew, even in pain?
They asked him to prove that he was a prophet for a start
He was guided to point to the full moon for it to tear apart
But nothing could change the evil mongers mind
And many came only suffer a fate that was destined for such mankind
He may have left us years ago
Leaving behind him a sunnah and a Quran for us to practice and know
Oh Prophet of all Prophets, Oh leader of all that are born
We pray to be on the path that Allah has laid for us and you have shown
Bring us closer to his mercy
And save us from the fires of hell and hypocrisy
I weep in my prayers to find my lords blessings
And for me to be saved from this worlds misgivings
I hope to save myself from his wrath and the ultimate hell
By bringing myself closer to Allah's well
I fear from calamity and pain
only to realize that it disappears once I believe in your name
Give me the light in my heart that guides me through this darkness
For when my time comes I leave this world only to have lived my life to your happiness
