Does anyone if its true that French paratroopers were sent into makkah to put down a rebellion during the 80s?

As well as the Shia incident, does any know if the French were called upon to deal with Juhaymin al-otayba when he siezed the Harram in the 70's?? Or was that the same incident as the Shias? Can some one please clarify.

I believe the French were brought in during the Juhayman episode. That was the first such time Saudi government opposition manifested into action. They were I guess not prepared after that they began their terror of the common person.
