Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
I have a question, if anyone here is knowledgable enough to help me on this.
I know that generally amongst mainstream Ahl usSunnah, ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) is regarded as a great Muslim scholar, Shaykh ul Islam by many, however he is criticized for a few mistakes he made regarding aqeedah. Hoever, besides these mistakes, he is generally regarded as a great scholar.
So here is the question... The book: Kitab al Iman. Is this one of the Shaykh's (rahimahullah) renowned writings and widely accepted works, or is this a work which is considered to be erroneous by Ahl usSunnah wal Jama'ah?
Has anyone here read the book, or read a scholarly commentary on it?
Jazakumullahu khayran,
Sam
