Another great new talk has been added to the Darul Iftaa website.
Click the title below to listen to the talk.
Establishing Unity Using Our Differences (http://www.edars.com/dars/MMAK-EstablishingUnityUsingOurDifferences.rm)
The talk is very in-depth and talks about a number of issues.
-differences regarding iqaamah
-reciting ameen silently or loudly
-rafa' yadayn
There is a hadeeth in musnad e ahmad:
المؤمن مألفة ولا خير فيمن لا يألف ولا يؤلف
A believer is a place of love, there is no good and benefit in a human and a believer who does not love other people and people do not love him.
The central obligation, just like salah and hajj is ulfah - love. Be the person muslim or non-muslim. Muslims need to be good with everyone even animals. This all can be learnt from the sunnah of our Beloved sallahu 'alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam.
This talk is a must listen for all, to put all differences aside and to focus on unity and creating love amongst one another in the ummah.
One very basic teaching to create harmony and peace is to interact with each other to make a person feel as if they are quite important. Some have to work hard and change their interactions to prevent them coming across as arrogant to onlookers.
Nabi sallahu 'alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam's love was such that when he would meet a person and shake their hand, he would not remove his hands untill the one who came to shake thier hands would not remove their hands first. This is love and unity, a basic fundamental we have all sadly seem to have forgotten.
Some have adopted the mentality - my way or no way. This needs to dropped and instead of promoting sects, it is the thing that unites us - "Islam" that needs to be promoted.
Once the ashaab e rasool were dabating in the masjid about qadr. Nabi sallahu 'alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam entered upon them and his face changed colour out of anger and he said were you ordered to do this? meaning debating issues?
Differences will always occur.....many things debated today are on issues about what is better to do and what is recommended reagrding a certain action.
Instead we need to deal with issues that relate to huqooqul 'ibaad, mu'aamalaat, mu'aasharaat - social ettiquettes. There are no disagreements on these issues. These topics are very important also and consists of only one opinion.
Listen to the talk to get a full scope of the topic. It will really make one realise that sometimes we prefer our time to debating issues that we should not concern ourselves with. Where that time could be better used elsewhere.

Amazing talk Mashallah. Mufti Muhammad was talking about the debates on You Tube. I did a quick search and found the following clip to be exactly what he was saying. See this:
