The Best Way For New Convert To Introduce Islam To Older Children???

Assalamualikum everyone

I wouldnt say I was a new new convert. Alhamdulelah 2years in fact. I have two older children from a previous marriage who are living with us and are not muslim. I have tried to give the older one books to read etc as she is more a "prove it" kind of girl and the younger one is more open. We have been married for a year and have a new baby on the way and so I would love our family unit to be tighter with any advice you may have. :p

assalam walaikum sister. i av asked this question to other muslim sisters and the advise i was given was dont try to push them into islam, the more they see how peaceful and loving an islamic life is the more knowlage they will gain even without you knowing insha'Allah.if you have a such as sky tv have channels like peace tv or islam channel on especially when the talks are about other faiths and islam. leave books on islam where they can easily get to them as they might not want you to know they are intrested (my 2 teenagers wouldnt want me to know) talk to them about islam but not all the time and remember to do dua and ask Allah swt to guide them to islam and insha'Allah they will imbrace islam also.

First of all I have to say alhamdulilah whenever I hear about people accepting islam. I accepted islam a while back myself. I think the best way as the other sister suggested would be to let them observe islam within and outside the home. People take more notice of actions than of words. Speaking from experience, I've known muslims who talk the talk and now keep company with the ones who walk the walk and it is the actions that have had the most benefit for me inshaallah. May Allah guide your kids to islam and guide us all on the straight path inshaallah.
