As salaamu alaykum.

Are there any books by Salafis (other than Ibn Taimiyyah or Ibn al Qayyim) that you guys have come across that you actually find beneficial?

In English, I have found some of the less extreme Salafi/Wahhabi types (like Zarabozo) to have put out some VERY good works on the subject of Modernist Ideologies in Islam.

What do you guys think?

Jazakallahu Khair.

Wa'salaam.

ASA,

The Madinah University Arabic series is good.... not sure if it is authored by a Salafi.

Jamaluddeen Zarabozo's 3 part lecture on modernism, truly excellent

Yes. I have found his works on Modernism to be excellent (if only we could convince him to accept Orthodox Islam).

Sorry, I'm on a thread moving spree. I think this belongs better in in-depth :).

Actually there are quite a lot.

eg. Bringing up children in Islaam by shaykh Naasir Al 'Ulwaan, translated by Dr. Habeebullaah Mukhtaar from darul 'uloom, binnori town, karachi :-)

if those are the same famous books, I think u're talking about..then , I know a tablighi alim teaching students arabic through those books....it's a very basic class, they're not alim course stdents he's teaching

but I think this is different, there's a difference between books on teaching you a language(even if it is arabic), and books covering aspects of Islam..
