Taqwa boy was being printed in United Views. But I think he suddenly became really pious and stopped spending time in comic strips....right Maaz? ;)

hahah, funny. too bad i can't take credit for the drawings. it was my buddy ahmed's handiwork.
hey bro! i DO get out.....
this was one of the reasons we dropped out of SP.......don't tell mufti saab.....essentially we were being silly and didn't pay enough attention and unfortunatly didn't give the course the respect that it deserved. we'd be making comics in class.........thats not a good sign......
originally he was named gardaan boy (if anyone's studied sarf you'll konw what a gardaan is) if not, its a table of congugating verbs that you're supposed to memorize and spit them out super fast....we changed it to taqwa boy for united views (UM- newspaper), to appeal to a greater audience.
we had many story lines. and most of them were REALLY funny, i still chuckle when i think of them now. but my cartoonist (ahmed) quit :( , and the group of friends that worked on it with us kinda got bored. I wanted to make a Taqwa boy empire!!! mugs, tshirts, the whole deal........maybe later when we have more time, and my friends jump back on board. inshallah.
inshallah i do intend to return to SP, may Allah accept me once again into the gardens of knowledge. amen. this time i pray and am determinined to have more resolve to learn the sciences. inshallah.

Kids lolz...I loved it!
I especially liked the panel about all the knowledge he gets stuck in his head...too bad we can't do that with Nahw and Sarf...I might offend ppl but umm...they're pretty dry subjects

Don't worry, I'm sure they meant ilm al ladunni as opposed to wahy. Or something.
That knowledge is heavenly, but it requires inspiration to find.
Man we're dry.

nah, they put the Quraan in his heart, Quraan, aqidah, humbleness and also as far as i can make out Nahw and fa`ala (since he's gardan boy).
BTW ever heard of anyone named waqat, or did you name him that coz it's a whatchamacallit of Taqwa?

divine revelation, well ok, in the REAL world obvoiusly there is no wahy for anyone. but guy, this is a comic!! btw he's also hooked up to some machine with a wahy on/off switch.....plus the square before that he's being hammered.....i don't konw why tho.............
yea man, waqat was a play on taqwa..........i was wondering if anyone would notice that.......

Nice comic, I enjoyed it.....
I was thinking of coming out with a comic, for muslims kids, it has to do with this Sunnah Man character, who enjoins good and forbids evil. He has the help of Wajib Woman and Dawah Dude, and together they battle it out with Mrs. Mukrooh, and Bid'ah Boy.
Now I have some really good ideas, for this, it can really be a big hit. I need artists/drawers, and I can write the plot with some creative people. so I need recommendations on people that you know who are:
a) good at drawing
b) creative
and if anyone steals this idea Im gonna sue you
also if this becaomes really big, little kids might focus more on "what would Sunnah Man do, rather than on what would Prophet do" I dont want that happening. Is it a legitmate concern despite the fact that Sunnah Man and Prophet would likely do similar things?
also second concern was the drawing images/faces etc... Is it ok?
thank you for your help
