This below is the reason for looking for this book. To see for myself if such allegations / slanders against Mufti Saeed DB has been written or not :-

A very brief answer to Molvi Yaqub Miftahi’s Kitab; Shar’ee Thuboot e Hilal,Taariqh e Falakiyaat, wa Jadeed Tahqeeq.

Assalamualaikum

Recently I have come across this book of Molvi Miftahi, after reading from different parts of the Kitab, I came to the conclusion that this is one ANGRY man who is now seeing and fearing his reign coming to an end. His book, he might think is a masterpiece, to shut people up, yes it might silence those who have no knowledge on the issue of moon sighting, but as for those who have studied this topic in detail throughout the years, this Kitab is a joke full of ABUSE for those people who have disagreed with his views throughout the years. There is no substance to arguments posed in the Kitab, and the reality is he has abused Ulama and deemed them Guilty for the very Dishonesty that he is GUILTY of. If only he looked in the mirror before he wrote the ABUSE, he would never have dared to write such TRASH. His slandering of Hadhrat Moulana Mufti Saeed Ahmad Palanpuri, Sheikh ul Hadith of Darul Uloom Deoband is nothing more than Disgusting, as I said the Kitab is nothing, but before I go on to analyse his book (it only really does need only a few sentences!!!)Let me quote a few Qur’aanic verses and Ahaadith
Allah most high says:

Invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars. (Ale’ Imran 3:61)
May the liars perish! (Al Dhariyat 51:10)
Allah does not guide one who is wasteful, a liar. (Al-Mumin 40:28)

‘Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood reported Allah’s Messenger as saying: “Truth guides to righteousness and righteousness leads to the garden. A person persists in telling the truth and searching in order to find the truth until, in the sight of Allah, he is called truthful. Lying leads to vice and vice leads to the fire. A person goes on lying, intentionally and unintentionally, until, in the sight of Allah, he is called a liar.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah’s Messenger (SAW) as saying: “There are three signs of a hypocrite, even if he fasts, prays, and claims that he is a Muslim: When he speaks, he lies, when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is trusted, he betrays his trust.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

The Prophet (SAW) is reported to have said: “The man who speaks words without thinking or caring that the ideas he is expressing may be forbidden, will be thrown into the Fire and will sink in it to a distance greater than what is between the East and the West.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
‘Abdullah bin Mas’ood (RAA) reported Allah’s Messenger (SAW) as saying: “Abusing a Muslim is wickedness...” (Muslim)

As regards to what he has written regarding Hadhrat Moulana Mufti Saeed Ahmad Palanpuri Saheb, Sheikh ul Hadith of Darul Uloom Deoband, I want all of you to keep this Hadith in mind, as Molvi Miftahi has depended on other mischievous people for the LIES he has written, HE NEVER HAD THE GUTS TO GO AND SEE HIM personally DESPITE HAVING THE OPPORTUNITY AND BEING INVITED TO AIR HIS VIEWS DIRECTLY TO HIM, WHILST HADHRAT WAS HERE ,HE AND HIS CRONIES REMAINED HIDDEN AND QUIET.

“THE PERSON WHO NARRATES AN INCIDENT WHICH HE HAS HEARD, IS ONE OF THE TWO LIARS” MISHKAT.

Hadhrat Mufti Saheb is my teacher whom I have known for years, he is outspoken, but when he speaks , he speaks with conviction, without the fear of no one except Allah, his statements are backed up by evidences from the Qur’aan and Hadith, he never shies away from what he believes in and is always available for those who want to discuss any Mas’alah with him, yes, he has come to Stamford Hill for years, but there definitely has been a break for a number of years in which he did not come in Ramadhan, the reason he gave was clear, he said it in PUBLIC without fear of no one, his bayaan is recorded, that he did not come to the UK in Ramadhan as “you were commencing and ending this great month INCORRECTLY, and I did not want to spoil or ruin my Ibaadaat”. WILL MOLVI YAQUB MIFTAHI COME OUT IN PUBLIC AND SAY THOSE THINGS HE HAS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OPENLY? NEVER EVER, WHY? I WONDER?

Any how on pg 53 of his book he writes regarding our very knowledgeable teacher “this year 1428AH an effort was made to break the unity of the Muslims by the distribution of extracts of his Kitab Tuhfatul Alma’ee, which proved on the one hand, a source of advertisement for his Kitab and on the other hand a source of slander on Jamiat/Hizb ul Ulama,Darul Uloom Deoband, Saharanpur and the other Darul Iftaa’s of the Indian sub continent, and the Dar ul Iftaa,s of Riyaadh and other Saudi Authorities..”

Now briefly looking at this statement, can this ill informed Molvi tell me

· When was there ever unity on this moon issue?

· Who distribituted the extract? Mufti Saheb? Did he bring the extract over from India? He did not even bring the book with him never mind distribute the extracts. This Molvi should know that if he was so interested in selling his book he would never have permitted anyone to copy extracts and distribute them, rather he would have brought the Kitabs along to sell, and insisted people buy them.

· How has Mufti Saheb slandered the Darul Uloom Deoband, Saharanpur and the other Darul Iftaa’s of the Indian sub continent, when all these Darul Iftaa’s have issued retractions of their original rulings of following Saudi. HE HAS LAID A GREAT EMPHASIS ON NASIKH AND MANSOOKH IN HIS ABUSIVE BOOK, WHY IS Molvi Miftahi NOT following the same principles in the Fatawaa he has? The old Darul Uloom Deoband, Saharanpur fatawaa he has are now MANSOOKH ACCORDING TO PRINCIPLES HE HAS LAID DOWN IN HIS BOOK!!!

· WHY IS HE STILL USiNG THEM? especially Mufti Nizamuddin RA's Fatwa from Deoband has he not seen the RETRACTION (NAASIKH) ?

· As regards to Dar ul Iftaa,s of Riyaadh and other Saudi Authorities, they see him and all Tablighees as Innovators and Mushriq, why should anyone have any respect or regard for such Ignorant people.

This ill informed Molvi Miftahi writes on pg 54 “Mufti Saheb on one day and the days after, with the title of ‘My Advice’ continued to spread poison, which spread throughout the UK..”

· Since when has telling the truth become poison? Has he not heard of the Hadith “whosoever sees a wrong being done, the stop it with your hands.. to the end of the Hadith” And if Molvi Miftahi thought he was, where was he hiding? Was it not his and his cronies’ responsibility to come out of hiding and confront Mufti Saheb. As a so called general secretary of CMC was it not his Religious responsibility? Its cowardice to write an article on him, 10 months after he has left based on lies.

This ill informed Molvi further writes on pg 54 “the Masjid in which he stayed for the month of Ramadhan, in the last ten days there was lot of trouble and mischief, especially when the people of the Masjid (Masjid e Quba Stamford Hill) did not listen to him, then on the night of Eid before Sehri, without telling any one he quietly slipped out, to a far away Masjid, who were still celebrating Ramadhan, (and rightly so).” He further writes on the same page “this Masjid HAS COME FROM SOUTH AFRICA..”!!!!!

· Now can anyone say there was mischief in the Masjid in those last ten days? Those that have reported this are LIARS and MUNAAFIQS. The Bayaan’s in the Masjid were done with the instructions and blessings of the committee, I am told NO ONE from the locality noticed any form of Fitna, so where was Molvi Miftahi looking? In his own fantasy world?

· Did the committee of this locality just look on,whilst this so called Fitna continued? According to my sources, the Respectable Sheikh ul Hadith and Imam Mufti Umar Farooq Saheb not only attended but encouraged others to attend the Moon bayaan, did he not understand that this was Fitna? I have heard that more than 50 Ulama e Kiraam were present in those Bayaans, were they all naive? Molvi Miftahi shame on you, you were a coward along with your trusted pal Molvi Musa Karmadi, you never had the guts to come and address this issue face to face to face with this great man, why? The simple answer is you don’t have a leg to stand on.

· If the people of Stamford hill did not listen, then shame on them too, what did Mufti Saheb lose? Nothing, it was his responsibility to tell the truth and guide the people to Haq, he can’t force them, he fulfilled his responsibility to the best of his ability, and may Allah reward him for that. If the people of Stamford Hill chose to spoil and ruin their Ibaadat and celebrate Eid on the day of Ramadhan, then, that is their misfortune, like those people of Makkah who chose not to accept the Da’wah of our great Nabi SAW, who lost out? The answer is obvious to every intelligent person.

· What is wrong in him leaving a locality hell bent on missing a fast to celebrate Eid one day early, why knowingly should he miss a FARDH fast? What has the Ulama of this Ummat come to, that they criticize those who want to fulfil their Fardh obligations.

· “This Masjid HAS COME FROM SOUTH AFRICA”! Is he sure? I’ve never heard of Masajid travelling before!!!!!!!!

I could probably go on writing until this becomes a book, but when someone slanders my Teacher I see it as a duty to defend him, people may say I am very harsh but should I just turn a blind eye and accept the statements of a Slanderer or act upon the advice of Hadhrat Moulana Mufti Saeed Ahmad Palanpuri Saheb, Sheikh ul Hadith of Darul Uloom Deoband.

Very briefly the Kitab of Molvi Yaqub Miftahi’s Kitab; Shar’ee Thuboot e Hilal,Taariqh e Falakiyaat, wa Jadeed Tahqeeq is full of (half the book if not more!) OLD fatwaas that are MANSOOKH as revised Fatawaa’s from all major institutions including Deoband, Dabhel,Kantharia and Saharanpur have been issued. It is an act of great dishonesty that this Molvi Miftahi has still included them in his aforementioned Kitab, WITHOUT THE FATWA ISSUE DATES, I MAY ADD, TO DECIEVE THE PEOPLE. Rasool SAW has said “those who deceive are not from us”.

If he thinks that rules of Nasikh and Mansookh are for others only and not for him, he should stop calling himself a Molvi, and resign from all positions of trust. this is a Religious requirement, as Islam is not a pick and mix religion.
In this book he praises those who want to sell those centres/Masaajid bought with public funds (the three Makki’s) yet slander a person who has dedicated his life to the service of this great Deen, a person responsible for the making of thousands of ULAMA E KIRAAM.

Despite knowing the truth and reality of the two Fatwa’s of Mufi Rashid Ahmad Ludhyaanwi RA, he keeps on going about as ‘Nashikh and Mansookh’. For his info and I KNOW he has been told about this before, this Kitab Ahsan ul Fataawaa was published in Hadhrat’s lifetime, all the comment’s written, Hadhrat was witness to that, what is written on that page (494)that he (Molvi Miftahi) is boasting about; “the details of this Mas’alah could be seen in this same volume under the heading’ the announcement of Saudia is not Hujjat, (proof) for the people of Pakistan” this statement was written in Hadhrat’s lifetime, He did not instruct anyone to discard it, Although this Slandering Molvi Miftahi writes that he wants it discarded in future editions, has he ever asked Darul Iftaa as regards to this statement? Molvi Miftahi had the chance to ask Mufti Saheb in his lifetime, but he chose not to fearing the answer he will receive, he can still ask Mufti Abdur Raheem Saheb DB, his trusted assistant at Darul Iftaa, what he (Mufti Rashid) meant by what he has written: that it is the claim of Darul Iftaa Riyaadh, that they do actually sight the moon, he is merely quoting Bin Baz RA, otherwise his stance until his last breadth was that it was not permissible for the people living in Pakistan to follow Saudi, yes those who are living there must follow the authorities there. I challenge Molvi Miftahi that he brings to me in writing something to prove me wrong. For all those who are reading phone Darul Iftaa Karachi and see for your self WHO IS TELLING THE TRUTH?

Don’t think this Molvi doesn’t know this, he DOES, but to agree with me will render all his books and efforts as ‘full of a pack of lies’ so I can tell you he will not ask.

As regards to his lurid claims about the astronomers and specifically Martin Elsasser, I have to say I agree with Sheikh Shuaib from London, that even a FOUR YEAR OLD can copy and paste in this computer literate age, but the main thing is UNDERSTANDING, this I am afraid this Molvi Miftahi is lacking.
And it does make me think that as a strong believer in “we are an Ummi Ummat we do not count nor write” why has this Molvi resorted to writing??

This could go on and on but I think I will conclude at this.

Far as i know should be available from Hizbul Ulama UK 74c Upton Lane, London. OR also via its affiliate Jamiatul Ulama Britain (not to be confused with another Jamiatul Ulama UK)

Such disgusting words can never be justified. if one scholar does not agree with another even though in this case its what one would consider a minor scholar slandering a faqih its just sickening. Disagree at a scholary level giving why you dont agree and leave it there rather then write such slanderous things.

A friends trying to do the translation of pages some pages here a bt so far:-

Proof of the Crescent & an unfortunate incident:

We deem it necessary to describe this incident because due to aforementioned prevailing circumstances (…previously written, see text in the book…) people are active in spreading propaganda (in the name of Ulama & Darul-Iftaa's) and spinning reality (verbally and in writing) and busy in brainwashing. Considering the circumstances we reluctantly describe this incident.

Maulana Saeed Ahmed Palunpuri (Teacher, Darul-uloom Deoband) has been coming to the UK and spending his Ramadhan in one of the Mosques in UK for a number of years and whenever he was questioned about the "Proof of crescent" like other Ulama, he would reply, "It is necessary to stay in Britain for a full year to understand the Masail (issues), since we only come here for 4-5 weeks it is difficult to issue an opinion"

However after years, in 1428 a despicable attempt was made to break the "Shariah-based" unity of British Muslims and several pages from Maulana's book "Tahfatul-Alma'ae" were distributed which not only resulted in advertisement for the book but also became a "subpoena" and a grave accusation for Markazi Royat-e-Hilal Committee Britain, Hizbul-Ulama UK, Jamiatul-Ulama UK, and not only for other British organisations but also for Darul-iftaa Darul-Uloom Deoband, Mazahirul-Uloom and other Darul-Iftaa's of the subcontinent, Darul-Iftaa Riyadh and other Ulama and Muftees, Wizaratul-Auqaaf Saudia and Saudi Qadha'a-Aala (Supreme Court) and other prestigious Ulama.

British Muslims haven't forgotten that they had taken a sigh of relief over this the "Shariah-based" unity and they were congratulated by Darul-iftaa Darul-Uloom Deoband and its other Muftees. However chaos was caused in the last ten days of Ramadhan in the Masjid where Maulana (when the Masjid Administrators didn't accept his views) on the night of Eid "secretly and without informing" left the Masjid and went to another Masjid who were still fasting according to the announcement in South Africa. The later Masjid is the centre and bastion of the movement to accept moon sighting from South-Africa and their Imam (and connected individuals) are busy in trying to justify their favourite and self-conceived opinion by raising questions and doubts upon the respected Muftees.

The next day and the day after, Maulana spewed forth venom and poison which quickly spread across Britain and according to our knowledge everybody considered it "extremely unfortunate" as he does have a connection (by being teacher of Hadeeth) in Darul-Uloom Deoband and there were whispers not only about his person but also about Darul-Uloom Deoband itself. Maulana has done Ramadhan & Eid according to Saudia for years so what made him explode this year? Maulana's claim could have been verified if he had attached….
