I had the same reaction. I tried to make poke fun at the name "Tooting" while giving a talk at the masjid and an 'uncle' in the audience countered with "Toronto". I admit - he got me with that one.

Yes, Maulana Ahmed Ali will be giving the talk. I do not know the topic... a lot of his talks he describes the topics as: "come along and find out". Allahu Alam.

If I do find out the topic, then :insh: I shall post it here.

I'll try and record tomorrow's bayaan :insh:. Though, my mp3 player/recorder has a tendency to eat batteries faster than a Salafi can shout biddah, so no promises how it will turn out.

Yes, I did record the talk, but I think I was sitting too close to Maulana Ahmed Ali, and coupled with his very loud voice, there's a lot of echo in the recording... makes it tough to listen to what he's actually saying. Sorry.

Khair, I'll upload it tonight :insh:. Perhaps people can gain from at least the audible parts.
