Asalamulakum dear All its my first time on this forum this year i and my wife intend to perform hajj from Pakistan,anybody can guide me how to apply and what are the neccessities /requirements essential for this purpose. How should i get myself ready for this islamic F A R Z by all means thanking All of you in advance Jazakala khair

Assalam O Alaikum
Pakistani hajj policy is announced few days ago. The people who intend to go for hajj are asked to submit their application forms from 7th August.

Here is the policy

*** HAJJ POLICY (Hajj - 2008) ***

SALIENT FEATURES - HAJJ POLICY-2008

NUMBER OF PILGRIMS

164,647 pilgrims will perform Hajj from Pakistan during
December 2008. The number of pilgrims under the Government Scheme would
be
85,000 and those under HGO Scheme would be 79,647.

(GOVERNMENT HAJJ SCHEME)

RECEIPT OF HAJJ APPLICATION

The applications for Hajj-2008 under Government Hajj Scheme
will be invited from 7th August, 2008 to 18th August,
2008. The application forms will be issued/received at designated bank
branches
of HBL, UBL, NBP, MCB & ABL.

HAJJ
DUES UNDER GOVERNMENT HAJJ SCHEME
The detail of Hajj dues for Hajj - 2008 is as under:-

* Saudi Riyal 3200 is upper
limit, however, Haji will be charged on actual rent basis.

CNIC
Mandatory
requirement of computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) for filing of
Hajj
applications will remain intact

REPEAT HAJJ

No Hajj application shall be entertained for repeat Hajj, if
the applicant has performed Hajj during the last five years except in
three
cases viz Mahram of a lady who did not perform Hajj earlier, Group
Leader &
Hajj-e-Badal.

BALLOTTING

The ballot shall be held in 1st week of October,
2008 if the applications are received in excess of the seats available
under
Govt. Scheme. The applicants who have been unsuccessful in the ballot
during
last two years (i.e. Hajj December 2006 and Hajj December 2007)
consecutively
under Government Scheme shall be declared successful without ballot.

FLIGHT OPERATION:
The Flight Operation will commence as from the 4th of Dhul
Qadah 1429H. / corr. (3-11-2008) and end as on 30th. Moharam ul Haram
1430H /
corr. (13-01-2009).

DIRECT HAJJ FLIGHTS TO MADINAH MUNAWWARAH
In arrangements with PIA, 30,000 Hujjaj will be taken to
Madinah directly and the same number will depart from Madinah. Those
arriving
Madinah shall depart from Jeddah and similar number vice versa. The
facility of
direct flight to Madinah Munawwarah will be restricted to the Government
Hajj
Scheme only.

PERSONAL EXCHANGE QUOTA

After deduction of compulsory hajj dues, accommodation
charges and special services charges payable to Saudi Agencies, the
balance
amount in foreign exchange would be provided in cash to intending
pilgrims
before their departure from Pakistan to meet day-to-day expenses in
Saudi
Arabia.

ACCOMMODATION
There will be only one category of accommodation for Hajj -
2008. Following provisions will be observed for hiring of accommodation
for Hajj
Pilgrims for Hajj - 2008:-

a. The maximum accommodation rent in Makkah Mukarramah shall
be SR.3,200 per pilgrim upto 2,000 meters and at Kudai and Mehbus-ul-
jinn in
Azizia. Complementary shuttle service will be provided in Kudai and
Mehbus-ul-
jinn in Azizia upto the nearest place of Haram, depending on road
congestion.
b. Accommodation in Madinah Munawwarah shall be hired from
groups at SR.400 per pilgrim per cycle, to be paid on actual occupancy
basis
within 1,000 meters.

ALLOCATION OF SEATS UNDER GOVERNMENT HAJJ SCHEME

a. Chairman Senate, Speaker National Assembly, Governors,
Chief Ministers and the President & Prime Minister of AJK will be
allowed 50
seats each;
b. Each member of National Assembly and Senate will be
allowed 10 seats;
c. 500 seats are earmarked for Labour/sponsored Hajj.
d. 500 seats are earmarked for Overseas Pakistanis.
e. Accepting two years consecutive unsuccessful
applicants (i.e. during Hajj-December, 2006 and Hajj - 2007) as
successful
without balloting.
f. 150 seats for Hajis performing Hajj under Hajj
Foundation Scheme subject to availability of sufficient funds under the
Hajj
Foundation Scheme.
g. 60 seats are earmarked for serving PIA employees.

3. The Ministry will enroll HGOs for Hajj - 2008 from
amongst those who were enrolled for Hajj - 2007 in view of Policy of the
Royal
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Final selection of HGOs alongwith their quota
shall be
made by the Committee, constituted by the Prime Minister in accordance
with the
criteria.


CRITERIA FOR ENROLLMENT OF HGOs FOR HAJJ-2008

i. Should be able to
organize Hajj Groups of at least 300
and be a private limited tourism company with a paid up capital of at
least
Rs.5/- (Five) million and have at least 3 (Three) years experience
working as
Hajj or Umra or tourism company or travel agency.

ii. Should provide proof
of exclusive and properly
maintained office with computer, internet and electronic data
transmission
facility. On ground checking of the premises, if found otherwise, the
HGO will
be blacklisted.

iii. Should maintain a
non-chequeing account in one of the
scheduled bank(s) of Pakistan specifically for the purpose of Hajj
operation.

iv. Should not have been
blacklisted by Saudi Government
or by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Government of Pakistan.

v. Should not have
violated Saudi Taleemat (regulations)
and Government of Pakistan Hajj policies.

vi. Should be fully
conversant with Manasik-e-Hajj as per
Saudi requirements.

vii. Should provide bank
guarantee, performance bond,
agency agreement and under-taking as per specifications of the Ministry
of
Religious Affairs, Government of Pakistan.

viii. Should be able to make
all arrangements for Hujjaj and
their repatriation from Saudi Arabia if required.

ix. HGOs having even one
common Director will be treated
as one company for allocation of quota.


TRAINING PROGRAMME.
The Ministry gives the highest priority for training of
pilgrims. Master trainers from the teaching faculties of Arabic and
Islamic
Studies Departments of the Universities and the experienced master
trainers
working on voluntary basis will impart training to pilgrims upto Tehsil
level.
The Provincial Governments also provide all the necessary facilities for

training programme. PTV and Radio Pakistan will also run special
programmes on
Hajj. The intending pilgrims are advised to attend the training
programmes
regularly.

HAJJ MATERIAL

Updated CDs on Hajj are made available in the Haji Camps at a
nominal price for the benefit of the pilgrims. Hajj booklets
Anwar-e-Harmain and
Aamal-e-Hajj will be provided to the pilgrims to enable them to prepare
for
Hajj.

FACILITATIONS BY THE PIA

PIA will provide Abaya, Ahram and 10 ltr of Aab-e-Zam Zam
free (on arrival in Pakistan). PIA will allow one piece of 32-KG and one
hand
bag of 7-KG free to each pilgrim.

VACCINATION OF HUJJAJ
Vaccination of Meningitis and polio will be arranged for all
Hujjaj through Haji Camps in accordance with Saudi Regulations.
