continuing with the revival of the recitation of books of hadith in the lands of al-Sham, Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi will insha'Allah be reading from the Jami' of Imam al-Tirmidhi from the 25th December 2008 to the 1st January 2009 at the Jami' al-Hasan Masjid in Damascus, Syria.
as mentioned in previous posts, apart from being filled with knowledge, these gatherings are infused with light, immense blessings and miracles as the blessed words of the Prophet, peace and blessings upon him, are mentioned from morning to evening with isnad.

some recent events in Syria have led to greater scrutiny towards foreign students. i have heard that all islamic institutions have officially closed to foreigners. tourism continues as normal, but a caution to those who may be intending to travel to the blessed lands.
