Allah the Almighty addressed to prophet Adam(aw): "Did I not forbid you that tree and tell you: Verily Satan is an open enemy unto you?" They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers." Allah said; "Get down, one of you an enemy to the other (Adam, Eve, and Satan etc). On earth will be a dwelling place for you and an enjoyment, for a time." He said: "Therein you shall live and therein you shall die, and from it you shall be brought out (resurrected)." (7:22-25).
Did Allah forgive him and then send them to The earth? or After saying that dua they had been sent to the earth and then after the incident about doing dua with the name of Prophet mohammad(sw) Allah forgive him?
And after all the hadith some says its mawdo and some says its hasan.
Muhammad (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam)said, "After Adam (Alaihis Salam) happened to commit the wrong,(as a result of which he was transferred from Paradise to Earth) he used to spend all his time in weeping, praying and repenting, and once he looked up towards the Heaven and supplicated, "O Allah! I beg thy forgiveness in the name of Muhammad (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam)." "Who is Muhammad?" came the enquiry through divine revelation. He replied, "When you created me, I saw the words LAA ILAHA ILLALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH written on your 'Arsh', and since then I believed that no human being is superior to Muhammad (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam), whose name appeared along with yours." In reply it was revealed," He is to be the last of all prophets, and will be your descendant. If he were not created, you also would not have been created."

I know what islayqa says.
My question was about the whole story. When he got forgiveness from Allah?
When he recited the dua in jannah as quran stated, or after doing dua through wasilah of prophet mohammad(sw) ?

there is no contradiction: if u do something wrong, have you never asked Allah for forgiveness many times at different occasions, although Allah may have forgiven you the first time you asked?

I do 100 sin everyday, and ask for the forgiveness too. but in this story it isn´t me bur prophet adam(aw) who is wellknown for his one mistake. And the matter which i asked, when he got forgiveness? Quran says after reciting the dua he was sent to the dunya. and other one probabely when he was allready in dunya and remember prophet(sw) name and ask for dua.
So again when he got forgiveness? before coming in the world or after? cause its importent to know cause the hadith contradicts with quran verse.

Please do not spread false classifications.
Back to the thread. They are not contradictory (as is obvious regarding the Quran) even by chrono order.
The same incident is narrated in Surah Baqarah 2:35-39. With almost identical wording except with a bit of detail for the discussion you raised. More specifically verses 37- 38 (translated as):
Then Adam learnt certain words (to pray with) from his Lord; so, Allah accepted his repentance. No doubt He is the Most-Relenting, the Very-Merciful. We said, "Go down from here, all of you. Then, should some guidance come to you from Me, those who follow My guidance shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve.
So the forgiveness at the time of the initial repentance was a partial forgiveness and to send them into this world such that they could still have "enjoyment for a time" (2:36 and 7:24) the manifestation of this partial forgiveness. Which proves it was not absolute loss such that they would be counted "among the losers". Instead there's a partial forgiveness and they can still have pleasure within a limited scope and all is not lost.
Then the "guidance" that came could have been this tawasul wALLAHU 'alam to grant them full forgiveness. That is, the decree for their return to perpetual bliss (Jannah) as is the place of all prophets when they leave this world (as opposed to their dwelling on this earth for any partial temporal enjoyment). But the decree to leave this world (from ALLAH's infinite knowledge) was not to come until this guidance be revealed to him :alayhis: , the du'a made and its acceptance (from ALLAH).
In both instances the concluding verses of this story relate to the akhira
There you shall live and there you shall die and from there you shall be taken out.(translation 7:25)
As for those who disbelieve, and deny Our signs, they are the people of the Fire - they shall be there forever(translation 2:39)
Thus it may imply that the full forgiveness (if as a result of the tawasul) would take effect in the return to the perpetual bliss which is inferred in speaking about the life they would return to in Jannah.

Rather than continue, can i request someone to confirm what the commentators said about the hadith in question regarding whether the du'a actually resulted in forgiveness? It mentions the fact that it was done seeking forgiveness and there was a reply - but nothing about whether this resulted in complete forgiveness etc
So we'll start there :insh:

Brothers, the ambiya are masoom. There is no sin, its a genuine mistake and there is technically no need for repentance but the shaan of a nabi is that he will not rest without asking for forgiveness again and again.
Thanks.

No-1 has indicted him :alyhis: with sin. And there are numerous explanations to this apparent contradiction of ma'sum and the error on Adam :alayhis: 's part. But as you can see the discussion doesn't surround the type of error as it would have left to a discussion regarding why this world and not saved 'punishment' for fire (as is impossible for the ambiya na'udhu biLLAH min dhalik). Instead when/how was the pardon revealed to him?
But :jazak: for making sure everyone here is on the same track of thought here - and when we say lemon we mean lemon and not oranges. It is important we don't consider the action as "sin".
Now - anyone with the Hadith explanation?

I belive you should not really say that there is a contradicition with the Qur'an, because of a Hadith, because if you just use one hadith, there can be a thoushand ahadith that negate that hadith, espeically if it is Hasan. Khair, the issue has been cleared up Insha'Allah, hopefully the title can be changed? ;)

Adam repents and supplicates to Allah
It was reported that the above Ayah is explained by Allah's statement,
(37. They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.'') (7:23) as Mujahid, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Abu Al-`Aliyah, Ar-Rabi` bin Anas, Al-Hasan, Qatadah, Muhammad bin Ka`b Al-Qurazi, Khaلlid bin Ma`dan, `Ata' Al-Khurasani and `Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam have stated. As-Suddi said that Ibn `Abbas commented on,
(Then Adam received from his Lord Words) "Adam said, `O Lord! Did You not created me with Your Own Hands' He said, `Yes.' He said, `And blow life into me' He said, `Yes.' He said, `And when I sneezed, You said, `May Allah grant you His mercy.' Does not Your mercy precede Your anger' He was told, `Yes.' Adam said, `And You destined me to commit this evil act' He was told, `Yes.' He said, `If I repent, will You send me back to Paradise' Allah said, `Yes.''' Similar is reported from Al-`Awfi, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Sa`id bin Ma`bad, and Ibn `Abbas. Al-Hakim recorded this Hadith in his Mustadrak from Ibn Jubayr, who narrated it from Ibn `Abbas. Al-Hakim said, "Its chain is Sahih and they (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.''
Allah's statement,
(Verily, He is the One Who forgives (accepts repentance), the Most Merciful) (2:37) means that Allah forgives whoever regrets his error and returns to Him in repentance. This meaning is similar to Allah's statements,
(Know they not that Allah accepts repentance from His servants) (9:104),
(And whoever does evil or wrongs himself) (4:110) and
(And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds) (25:71).
The Ayat mentioned above, testify to the fact that Allah forgives the sins of whoever repents, demonstrating His kindness and mercy towards His creation and servants. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
(38. We said: "Get down all of you from this place (the Paradise), then whenever there comes to you Hudan (guidance) from Me, and whoever follows My guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve.) (39. But those who disbelieve and belie Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) ـ such are the dwellers of the Fire. They shall abide therein forever.'')
Allah stated that when He sent Adam, Hawwa', and Shaytan to earth from Paradise, He warned them that He will reveal Books and send Prophets and Messengers to them, i.e., to their offspring. Abu Al-`Aliyah said, "Al-Huda, refers to the Prophets, Messengers, the clear signs and plain explanation.''
(And whoever follows My guidance) meaning, whoever accepts what is contained in My Books and what I send the Messengers with,
(There shall be no fear on them) regarding the Hereafter,
(nor shall they grieve) regarding the life of this world. Similarly, in Surat Ta Ha, Allah said,
(He (Allah) said: "Get you down (from the Paradise to the earth), both of you, together, some of you are an enemy to some others. Then if there comes to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, he shall neither go astray, nor shall he be distressed.) (20:123)
Ibn `Abbas commented, "He will not be misguided in this life or miserable in the Hereafter.'' The Ayah,
(But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its teachings) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection.) (20:124) is similar to what Allah stated here,
(But those who disbelieve and belie Our Ayat ـ such are the dwellers of the Fire. They shall abide therein forever), meaning, they will remain in Hell for eternity and will not find a way out of it.

While discussing the same issue in Surah A'raf, Ibn Kathir (RA) says,
("Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.'') "These are the words that Adam received from his Lord.''
