Wa alaykum assalam sister

I just want to mention that those 3 Hanbalis weren't completely upon the way of the vast majority of Hanbalis in aqeedah.
They were leanient in accepting weak hadiths in sifat (thus affirming attributes which should not be affirmed for Allah), and were critisized for that.

Ibn al Jawzi, too, wasn't upon the path of the vast majority of Hanbalis.

Wa`alaykum Salaam Wa Rahmatullah,

It seems that our brother, faqir, either translated the text himself, or used another translation of Ibn al Jawzi's book Daf' Shubah al-Tashbih bi-Akaff al-Tanzih other than the one I have. The translation I have has been printed from Amal Press and the translator is 'Abdullah bin Hamid 'Ali with original notes by Imam Zahid Al-Kawthari(raheemahullah); hence my reference for what you are asking comes from that particular translation. This(the reference that you are asking about) can be found on pages 42-49.
