Asalaamualaikum,
Would anyone have any Islamic plays or any general kind of plays preferably on the 2nd grade level?
P.S. Islamically, are kids allowed to act out in plays for learning purposes?

assalamu alaikum wr wb
i think they are allowed but Allahu Alim i have seen kids being allowed to act out on plays of the Sahaba's time or even the Prophet's time, despite they didnt play the Prophets or any of the close companions they had someone narrate them but they played other parts..... and it's a good way to teach them.
i dont have any off hand...but you could do some of the prophet's time, like when he first recieved the message of islam, or even the time of some of the other prophets and their time and their life..... or the struggle that the early muslims had to go through to be muslim.....

this books seems very interesting, a good investment if you're constantly making islamic plays, i guess.

not so helpful, although they have some example at the bottom, i only skimmed through.
if you understand arabic a really good kids book is qasas-nabiyeen its a standard dars-nizami course book, but its really supposed to be a childrens book. they have good stories and dialogue.

The al-Rashid Islamic School here, held a ceremony for Hajj. They had the students act out the rituals, while wearing Ihram, etc. So I'm guessing acting out plays is alright.

Hajj rituals would a bit different. What about imitating to be someone? For example a famous person in the history of Islam? Would that be ok?

It is solely for learning purposes.

As salaamu alaikum
Why not give scenarios that show the correct courses of action: example, a situation where someone speaks badly to his/her parents, and the correct way.
These can be made up very easily.

Thats a good idea and it won't come under imitating someone either. I can do that insha'Allah. hmmm..writing the script might be a little time consuming..lets see...
:jazak: for the idea
if anyone has something else i'd appreciate it

InshAllah this will be of some help:
-Characters in play 3 or 4. More roles in the play can be added if u want to add more to the story.
-Storyline:
A mother gives her three children a chocolate bar each. And tells them to go and eat the chocolate where no body can see them. The eldest brother goes under his bed and eats the choclate there. The second oldest sister locks her room and eats it in her closet. The little boy, the youngest of them, who didn't have his own room, couldn't find a place to eat it. He looked and looked all over the house and outside... and he couldn't find a place to eat it. Then, they all go back to their mother and the oldest says he ate it under his bed..no one saw him there. The sister says she ate it in her closet with her room locked. The youngest says he couldn't find a place to eat the choclate bar..and brought it back. the mother asks him why? ...to which he replies.. I couldn't find a place where no one can see me.. BECAUSE Allah can see me everywhere!
mashAllah this story is good for plays.. :D My sisters acted to this story just for fun and mashallah i enjoyed watching it... :D Alhumdulillah!

Bi’Ismihi Ta’ala
Honesty The Best Policy
Narrator: As SalaamU Alaikum. Our sketch begins in the Grade 3 classroom of ZMS.It is another Friday morning and all the pupils are quickly going over their Spelling Words for the last time before Muallimah Farhana comes in and starts their Spelling test.
Child 1: Spell for me: HONESTY
Child 2 : HONESTY …….. Umm, O N E S T Y
Child 3 :No no! You are missing something!
Child 1 : What? I spelled it how you say it.
Child 2 : You are missing out the ‘H’
Child 1 : ‘H’? Where does ‘H’ fit in the word ‘HONESTY’?
Child 2: It is a silent ‘H’ Don’t you know!
Child 3 : Ok-What does H O R S E spell then?
Child 2 : I know! ‘ORSE’!
Child 3: No silly there the ‘H’ is NOT silent.
Child 2: < scratches his head > English is certainly a STRANGE language.
Child 4: Today’s spelling words are so difficult. I just can’t seem to get them in my head.
Child 5 : Yes, Muallimah said she is really going to put our knowledge to the test this week.
Child 6: I am going to get full marks for this test today.Just you all wait and see!
Child 4: Wow! You must have learnt really hard.
Child 5: That’s something new!
Child 6: Laugh at me all you want. And for your information I never study AT ALL.
Child 2: And you expect to get full marks? I think you are just fooling yourself.
Child 6: We shall see.
Narrator 2: Unknown to the other children,Child 6 had written all of his spelling words on his hand and covered them with his sleeve. It looks like he might just succeed in getting his full marks for his test, but will he get away with it? Let us find out.Mualimmah Farhana walks in and everyone rushes to their place.
Muallimah: As Salaamu Alaikum class.
Class: Wa Alaikumus Salaam WarahmaTULLAHi Wa Barakaatu.
Mualimah: How are my little darlings today?
Class: Alhamdulillah.
Muallimah: Very good.I hope you all studied hard for today.
Class: Jee Muallimah.
Muslimah: Well we shall see.Put all books away now.Child 7 please pass out the papers.
Muallimah: No 1. HONESTY
No 2. MORALS
No 3. REPENT
No. 4 CHARACTER
No 5. FORGIVENESS
Muallimah: OK Children, stop.Time is up.Pass in your papers.
Narrator 2 : Muallimah collects all the papers and child 6 is smiling very broadly, feeling very happy with himself. He could just imagine getting full marks on his test paper. But he was feeling abit thirsty SO…he put his hand up to ask Muallimah if he can leave the class. But can you guess what happened? His sleeve slipped down his arm!
Muallimah: Yes, child 6.
Child 6: Can I leave the class Muallimah.
Muallimah: Yes…but wait a minute, come here for a second.Whats this writing on your hand?
Child 6 : Nothing Muallimah.Just my mum’s grocery list. <tries to hide his hand>
Muallimah: This does not look like a grocery list to me!.They look very much like the Spelling words your’ll had to learn for the test! You cheated!
Child 6 : I’m sorry Muallimah!
Muallimah: What you did was WRONG and against what we stand for as Muslims. Maybe I was not watching you but surely ALLAH TA’ALA was. Don’t you feel ashamed at yourself? Listen here children. Islam teaches us Honesty and Truthfulness. Our Prophet (SAWS) was known as As-Saadiq and Al-Amin, The Truthful and The Trustworthy. This kind of behaviour is not what I would expect from any Muslim.
Child 6: I am sorry Muallimah,I just wanted to get full marks for my test.
Muallimah: But how can you be happy with that mark knowing that you did not earn it honestly? You should always just try your best and then whatever mark you get after that is good enough. ALLAH TA’ALA will be happy with you because you would not be listening to the shaitaan whispering in your ears. Now you must ask ALLAH to forgive you and never do it again-ok Child 6.Don’t worry we all make mistakes and we must learn from them.
Child 6: Jee Muallimah.Jazakallah for teaching me.I realize what I did was not the right thing to do.Inshallah I will never cheat again.
Narrator 3 : And so the Grade 3 class learnt a very important lesson that day. Honesty is the Best Policy. You may be 8 years old, 16 years old, or 30 years old. ALLAH TA’ALA is always with us, HE is closer to us than our Jugular Vein. We cannot hide anything from HIM.Even though we might fool the whole world, How can we fool the ONE who has created the Whole World? So never should we forget That ALLAH is Al-BASIR-The ALL SEEING and before we do any action we must think to ourselves that MY CREATOR is watching me and ask ourselves that will HE be pleased with this action? If we make a mistake we should ask ALLAH sincerely to forgive us for HE is most Forgiving and Kind. May ALLAH guide us all always and give us True and Pure character and good Morals as our Prophet ( SAWS ) showed us by His living example. Ameen.
