Isn't the Kaba an idol daddy?

As salaam alaikum.

Masha'Allah!!! Isn't the Kaba an idol daddy? -- this was the question I got this morning from my seven year old son.

I re-explained the history and the story of the Kaba to him. Expressing the importance of the first house of worship, and the Prophetic importance of it.

His response:

We should only bow to Allah. We shouldn't bow to the Kaba.

So this is my problem -- how would you answer to this point?

its a direction..focus

and people have given adhaan from the top of the kaabah

As stated, it is simply a direction. It provides unity to the Ummah in how we pray. You could also give the story on how in the Prophet's :saw: lifetime, the qiblah was changed from Jeruselum (if I remember right), to Mecca. Allah stayed the same, but the direction changed because of Allah's command.
