Worldly treasures we adore
Pomp and glitter nothing more
Drains the sand within The Glass
Are we ready we should ask
Earth the same no matter where
The sand drains but do we care?
We fill our dreams with hopes to stay
The sand grow less and less by day
Drains the sand within The Glass
Are we ready we should ask
The ancient get older
The young get bolder
Newborns and dead lay shoulder to shoulder *shudders*
Drains the sand within The Glass
Are we ready we should ask
Day in day out we run about
That's something we all should think about
To Heaven we think or alas to Hell
If only we thought as we did dwell
The sand has drained within The Glass
The time has come we're at Last Gasp
And now you think what worthless ground
The countries we were once so proud
Who can help us, what's our fate ?
Alas we've come to the Great Wait
Kings and Queens with out a stitch
Where not they so powerfully rich?
The accounts now closed we all are reckoned
Groans of 'If only...' go on by the second
The wretched dejected the worthy protected
The deeds of the righteous most certainly accepted.........
Pomp and glitter nothing more
Drains the sand within The Glass
Are we ready we should ask
Earth the same no matter where
The sand drains but do we care?
We fill our dreams with hopes to stay
The sand grow less and less by day
Drains the sand within The Glass
