Assalamualaikum,

 It says in the first paragraph and Maulana Anwar Shah said that certain aspects of the Shafi/Hanbali/Maliki Salah go against the Sunnah, whereas the Hanafi Salat is in total assent with the Sunnah... *confused*.

Im sure the Shafis, Malikis and Hanbalis think the same. Read the footnote -it wasnt meant as an insult but as an acknowledgement of what Maulana thought to be the truth.
As the saying goes within the Madhabs:
"We think we are right with the possibilty of being wrong and that you are wrong with the possibilty of being right."
This is what Ikhtilaaf is all about.

as salamu alaykum
...there is no problem with the statement, as long as it is not imposed. but arguably this is his opinion, and he follows it because he believes it to be correct. in reality there is only one correct method, but we have at least 4 different ijtihads...
in any case, the maliki salah IS the only correct method, the others are just acceptable...
