Considering that the pharmaceutical industry is mainly a business and that psychiatric medications are prescribed even if they are not needed. I have decided to stop the medication I was taking because I have stopped it before and become successful in my daily life with high school and things like that.

The non muslim doctors advised me against stopping it but I have been to muslim doctors who have told me not to take it before.

Firstly they have serious side effects and possibility of death Neuroelptic Malignant Syndrome. One I have taken made me over sleep, sleeping up to 15 hours a day(risperdal). This makes it difficult to wake up for fajr salaat.

Another one I have taken makes me extremely restless, where I have the feeling of not being able to sit down and relax but have to keep walking around aimlessly ( Aripiprazole ).

The reason I was put on these was because I had a bad reaction to another medication (dexamphetamine) which made me psychotic. But Alhamdulilah I feel alot better now and wish to stop all medication and live a more natural life following the prophetic medication and Ruqyah after witnessing Ruqyah being performed on a human being oppressed by a jinn.

As one psychiatrist told me psychiatry is more of an art than a science and because of the lack of knowledge in the field and the methods for diagnosis and for information which is unaccounted I feel I am making the correct decision on this.

Does anybody have any objections with an evidence based approach, I was told there may be a 5% possibility of having a relapse but I feel the benefits of not being on medication like the natural highs and lows of life help me get closer to Allah rather than agents to reduce cognitive functioning.
