mashallah ive heard that Shaykh Riyadh accepts many invitations.

there was a university here that were trying to get him to do a bayan for ages. someone said that Shaykh doesnt really give bayans at uni's, only in masjids or properly segregated gatherings....but they persisted arranging the whole thing etc. and they then invited him again.

He came. and i think it was a first at a british uni.

if u contact the bros at www.alkawtharacademy.org and let them know u have all the segregated venue (preferably a masjid), food, accomodation, maybe even flight ticket money ready then im sure u can get the Shaykh to fly out and benefit.

for a very busy man he travels widely.

[im even thinking of inviting him to my area....but i need to sort out good, potential attendees first....no point inviting Shaykh Riyadh to a hall with 10 bros in it!]

Brother you just have to invite and dont worry about attendees if one person from this gathering gets hidayah it will be well worth it ,quantity does not matter.i remember when Shaykh started dars there were only handfull of people then it grew into hundreds.
so if was you get in contact with the alkawthar academy and invite Shaykh he will more then happy to come inshallah.

an afterthought...

the shaykh is a busy man.
WE should be travelling TO the ulama, not the other way around.
Shuyookh like this deserve a massive, ilm-hungry, receptive audience waiting for them after theyve sacrificed their own precious time to travel to the venue...dont u think?

if there is a choice of two venues....id invite Shaykh Riyadh to the 'busier, livelier' one.

thats actually ONE of the purposes of jamaat work....to prepare the ppl to be receptive and hungry for the ilm of the ulama.
prepare the ground with one-to-one dawa then invite the ulama down to educate the masses on the sunnah.

Allah know best. (im not an alim)

I agree with you brother that we need to travel for ilm,if you invited the Shaykh then i would be travelling to the venue to listen to the Shaykh.
also Shaykh has always talks about the importance of sacrifice in deen either your wealth, time and life it is important to sacrifice if we are to progress in our deen.
may Allah make us those who sacrifice for hes deen and act upon what we learn aameen.

mashallah.

Salams

I recently attended the bayan in leicester.
Was nice and touched on some critical aspects and afflictions tormenting
the mental climate of muslims today.

Afterwards, the shaykh was very approachable..was nice to see

Alhamdulillah

The shaykh basically discussed the sins of the mind And the importance of having an islamic mental framework. And he mentioned that there were many mental diseases like feminism and modernism trying to captivate our minds. And the importance of not allowing people who say the shariah is outdated to deter us from having pride in our laws like hudud etc

many other things tooo...(not to mention the noor filling the gathering..which cannot be converted into html!)
