The sheikh to whom most of the people are/were bayath

i was writing this post in some other thread, but thought it may be offtopic

i have heard from reliable sources than hazrath ethesham-ul-hasan or iftekhar ul hasan, who is non-tablighi sheikh and lives in kandhla said, that today the sheikh to whom most of the people around the world bayat are Amir Inam ul hasan :rahma: or he has just said, " there is no other sheikh alive today like Amir Inam-ul-hasan :rahma: "

though i dont bother about it

so who do you think that most people are bayat to in these days, i.e after 1950's

i dont think anybody on this forum was born before 1950 : )

edit: and lets be fair and dont praise our own sheikhs : )

I heard some Naqshabandi sheikh had 1 million mureeds connecting to his soul during their dhikr. I don't remember his name.

From what I have heard Hzrt Qari sb is undoubtedly the highest rank of all in Chishtia at the moment. I've even heard from one great sheikh that Qari sab is be-nafs meanning someone who has no nafs. It might be true as well that he has the most no of mureeds as can be seen in Ramzan in melvisharam , the place where hazrath spends the holy month. May Allah give barakah in his health and elevate his status.

ofcourse Qari sahab has many mureeds, but a mosque of mailvisharam cannot be compared with Nizamuddin, right ?

in my area where Qari sahab comes, i can point out more or less people who were bayat to Inam ul hasan :rahma:, if we compare that way, then many people dont even know who is Qari sahab away from my home or even near, where as many more people are aware of Inam ul hasan :rahma:

Jazakallah for pointing that out, I was thinking only of those who are alive, but as you said Hazrathji RA was as big a sheikh as anyone else. When our Amir sb describes him he always mentions that he used to be doing zikr.

One of my local Saathi ( elderly in age ) narrated this incident to me :

He said that he did Baith with Hazrathji RA in a local Ijtema with thousands of people by holding a rope as it used to be. It so happened that he was in a european country and at that time an ijtema was taking place where all elders from markaz were present. He also took leave and attended the ijtema, on the last day there was elaan that who ever wants to do baith with Hazrathji RA he can assemble in an adjoining room. This saathi of mine thought , when I did baith it was with thousands of people hence I couldnt even do musafa, now is a good chance as there are only select number of people hence I can do baith with Hazrath by giving my hand in his hand and he also went in the room.

After sometime Hazrathji RA came and sat down in front of the majma, he bowed his head down for a few seconds and then lifted it , he asked this local saathi of mine to get up and told him please go as you have already taken baith.

This brother was shocked and amazed. Allah hu Akbar !!

Do you remember the incident which Amir sb narrates in markaz about how the govt wanted to change the dates of Hyd Ijtema and amir sb asked the govt official to talk to Hazrathji RA. When ever I listen to it my kaifiyat changes especially when someone like Hzrt Naeemullah khan sb narrates it.

i dunno about the ijtema incident (maybe ur not talking of 2007 ijtema)

but i have heard another such incident where a Non-muslim female collector of district in Bihar didnt allow ijtema because she felt she cant supply the needs for people when people told her the number, she thought that even the strength of our district is not that much and how can we accomodate so many people, when forced she asked about this to chief minister and he said, "just give them permission and u dont need to bother about anything, they will take care of it "

but still she was astonished that how could they make arrangement for lakhs of people without the help of government, so she used to come daily to the place where ijtema was about to take place and check the work

when everything was ready she was much amazed at the arrangement and she said, " i am amazed. even the bamboos which were kept for support of tent are in a single line from all directions, what a perfect management it is "

then she was very eager to meet hazrathji, people said that he will not meet to women as it is prohibited in islam, but she was so eager that she begged them and asked them to take permission to meet him. when people put this infront of hazrathji, hazrathji said, " she has helped us by granting our wish, so i will also try to fulfill her wish, but inform her that she can talk to me, but i will not see her face and she will not see mine ". so she was allowed to meet hazrathji. when she met she praised the work of people and asked hazrathji to bless her.
