Asalaam Aleykum

My wife has a medical problem where she will begin her menstrual cycle and keep bleeding for 30+ days, she has fibroids. This wasn't a problem in her first year as a muslimah (last year) but has recently become worse. What is the stance on fasting for Ramadan for these type of people, ie. the sick, ones unable to take much stress to their bodies?

We've tried a few things medically, shes even been put on a sort of temporary menopause (ya Allah, heat flashes are not fun!). She basically has 2 options, get the large fibroids removed and have them possibly grow back or get her uterus removed. We've been married since November and weren't planning on having children soon (Me=22, Her=27) but we do want to have them later inshalla so unfortunately it's a choice of either having children and enduring the pain or not having them. We've also tried birth control but that didn't seem to work, has anyone heard of black seed being remedied for fibroids?

May Allah give health to your wife and make troubles easier, Ameen. Unfortunately I do not know much about black seed so I cannot answer that question.

As for the second question, if someone has a real medical issue with which they cannot fast, or it is extremely difficult for them to fast, then they can refrain from fasting, though that person will have to pay fidya for each missed fast.

You can check this fatwa (http://www.askimam.org/fatwa/fatwa.php?askid=9b58761307cb0ab9684504304ad74d67), it is not the same situation as your wife's but it might help in understanding what she can do, :insh:

Brother why don't you research natural cures on the net for fibroids ..The medical profession isn't always the best solution .I've personally heard of many people being cured .There's many avenues chinese, herbalists, ayurveda, etc.
Take a look here but there are many similar sites.

Asalaam aleykum sister I actually found this site:

http://blackseedherbalessence.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=124

We're going to inshalla try the oil since it's supposed to help with fibroids but shes also doing a body cleansing treatment since it's said to help inshalla.

Shukran though sister for the website.

It looks good masha Allah, I hope you the best.
But I do have experience with using organic apple cider vinegar(with the "mother")
and ogrganic blackstrapp molasses , I found them extremely beneficial.
Your wife could take them aswell as.....

Jazakalah khair sister for the suggestion, I will show it to my wife and see what she thinks inshalla. If it's not too much to ask sister, do you mean that it helped you with fibroids as well? I'm sorry if the question offends, it is not my intention.
