Habib Baba and Sultan IV. Murad
There is an old man called Habib Baba at the time of sultan IV. Murad. Vezirs (assistants) of the sultan decides to have a party in the bathroom (Hamam) , so they close the hamam and tell the hamam keeper not to let anyone in.
Habib Baba comes to İstanbul from a far away place. He needs to have a shower and goes to the hamam, but hamam keeper says he can not have a shower. Habib Baba convinces the hamam keeper and hamam keepers tells him to have a shower in a different room so that vezirs will not see him. On the other hand, Sultan knows about his vezirs party in hamam, and he changes his clothes and goes to the hamam, hamam keeper says the same things to the sultan. Sultan convinces the hamam keeper and go in the hamam. He sees Habib Baba, after a while Habib Baba says “oh son, your back is dirty, let me wash you” Sultan accepts his kind offer and on return sultan offers to wash him. Following conversation takes place then;
-oh father can you see that vezirs of sultan are having great time in the hamam, they are dancing, and playing music.
- oh son, who is sultan murad? You should rather try to be a true servant of Allah, then Allah taala will make you wash by Sultan Murad…..
