I am intending to, But I will probably book right at the end, given my situation.
I usually won't go for a package, but just a hajj visa etc.

This is what my travel agent told me today about the approximate dates,

'.... the last flight to Hajj is 21st November 2009, and regarding the hajj visa you need at least a week before your travel date. so about 14th nov 2009 is the last date for visa applications to be processed....'

I will be going with these people Insha'Allah as it has come recommended by my Uncle and the person leading us there has used them several times and is known by the family:

Anyone else going there please make dua for me, Jazak Allah

you just wait and see once the tours operaters find out that this thread has opened up!

maybe the site owners could cash in on this by selling advertising space !

my recomendations is that whoever you go with make sure they are known to you or people you know, have got previous experiance, a qualified alim accompanies you throughout the journey, these are the main points you should take into consideration.

ah the rip-off-your-fellow-muslims season has begun.... prices have become quite disgraceful nowadays.

which hajj tour operator has the cheapest price in the UK at present - £2.5k is the cheapest ive seen so far but thats without ticket?

I agree...one price I came accross was £6,000 plus incl flights!
With prices like this it really is going to be a once in a lifetime journey.

Those that go year in and year out make it harder as well...economic theory...supply and demand prices increasing etc etc

Allah make it easy on those who have yet to perform their hajj, ameen.

Yeah, with such expensive prices, my husband would have to sell our car to get even one ticket.

You guys have already booked for Hajj 2009? Would you still be living after 579 years? SubHanAllah! May Allah accept your intentions.

wa Alaikum Assalam...

Yes there is. This year's Hajj is Hajj 1430, not Hajj 2009. Hajj 2009 will be after 579 years (if the Qiyamah doesn't come before that), and those who booked for Hajj 2009 will have to live till then to perform it. Hope it's clear to all now.
