the question is clear. Can I say ya rasoolullah and ask for something or is this shirk? Should my dua only be between me and allah? Also if I go to a sheikh and ask him questions, is it permiissable to view his responses as some sort of revelation like the haqqanis do to nazim?

“Say [O Muhammad]: ‘I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah wills’” (Quran, 7:188)

Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."
(Quran 46:9)

Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?"
(Quran 6:50)

And do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you, for if you did, then indeed you would be of the wrongdoers.'" And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
(Quran 10:106)

“You alone do we worship, and Your aid alone we seek.” (Quran, 1:5)

bala. What is the status of a person who tries to call upon the prophet saw as an intercessor? is such a person considered to be from ahlus sunnah wal jama'ah? Are they still muslim?
