As' salam alaykum,
This should really be posted in the hifz section, but most of the people visit this forum. So my problem.... Alhamdulilah I have started 1st para now after completing 30th and when i learn my sabak everything just seems to be going well and clicking. But when I read to my Ustadh Ji my sabak just doesnt seem to be clicking and flowing.
Has anyone got any device,
JazakhAllah
Allah Hafiz.

:salam: Brother,
I remember when I used to to memorize my sabak and I thought I had it pakka solid but when I came up to my ustath, there were holes eveywhere. The biggest reason for me was that I respected/feared my ustadh, so whenever I went up to him, I became crazy nervous.
Another thing is, reading by yourself is not as good as reading with another. So if you read your sabak to/with someone else(even before going to your usthath) more of your mistakes will most likely get corrected.
Another tip is always read in an audible voice. That way you can get corrected even when you're not in front your ustath:)

JazakhAllah brother, I agree with the first point. However, I can not read my sabak to anyone at home as I have told none of them that I am doing hifz. Also brother do you have any Dua's for Hifz.

This is what I would recommend:
1. Read ur sabaq looking inside a good 15 times the night before (odd number of times would be better)
2. The next day morning read it again looking inside a few times, and then try learning it by heart whichever way you are used to learning it.
3. Read "Wadhkur Rabbaka idha naseeta" 7 times whenever you sit to learn. (look in Surah al-Kahf ayah no 24). And also the other du'as brother Sulaiman84 has mentioned
4. As brother Sulaiman84 said, make sure you read loudly and clearly in an audible voice
5. Read to sum1 before going to your ustadh, maybe a classmate if it is not possible at home
6. Make plenty of du'a, try waking up for tahajjud to make du'a.
May Allah help you and bless you. Ameen

Well I tried Hifz once before and it didnt go well so I left it and I am now determined to do it now. Also I have my exams coming up soon, so I fear in telling my parents that I am doing hifz because they might say do it later due to your exams. But May Allah grant me that day when I come home from Masjid and tell my parents that I am a Hafiz. Aamen, May Allah make that day come soon.

Wow, oh man, thats a noble cause. Never give it up, Brother. Even a Hafith still has do his hifth otherwise he'll forget it. From experience, doing hifth made academic studies a lot easier.
About the whole situation with your parents, I would seek some advice from ulamaa on how to go about it. I'm not a Mufti so it's haram for me to give a fatwa lol:lol:
