:salam:

Thought it would be good to start a new thread for this topic :insh:. :alhamd: I've acquired quite a few new bayaans by Maulana Ahmed Ali (UK) and Maulana Sulaiman Mulla (South Africa). Most of you probably know that they are both in quite high demand :mash:.

I've uploaded all the bayaans I currently have to saleel.com, and :insh: more will come slowly. Most of these bayaans you won't find anywhere else, :alhamd:.

Before you go ahead and listen to them, can everyone please stop now and :insh: make dua for sister ninjabi who is the source for many of the bayaans by Maulana Sulaiman Mulla. May Allah swt reward her abundently for taking out the time to convert the bayaans from CD, and sending several hundred megabytes of files to be uploaded. May Allah swt grant her all the sadaqah jarriyah she deserves and more. Ameen.

Finally, if you register on saleel.com, then :insh: I will be able to email you when new updates are made and more bayaans are added.

Please go to http://www.saleel.com/ and click on "bayanaat / anasheed" at the top to listen to the bayaans.

Maybe you haven't heard of him because he doesn't travel much to England/North America. He resides in South Africa and teaches in an Islamic Institute there. He is renowned in South Africa though.

He teaches at Darul-Uloom Zakariyya in South Africa. I don't know if there is a 'reliable source' for this, but many of 'Alim students from South Africa who graduate go for one year Jamaat, especially to India/Pak. I think it's because they obtain a firm ground deen-wise and soak up extensive knowledge while in the company of many great, learned 'ulema.

Allah knows best.

1. Mulana gave fajr bayan at Madina Masjid (Toronto Markaz) during a conference.

2. maaz, do you know mufti ismail from Dar us Salam? he went to Darul-Uloom Zakariyya in South Africa. perhaps he would know.

so perhaps he did (even if he didnt, im sure going to a deobandi madrassa has it's effects)

Maulana does teach at DUZ, last I hear (which was quite recently). And it is highly recommended for 'Alim graduates to go for one year jamaat. They learn about Da'wah and how to be in the company of the 'Ulema, etc. etc.

I came across another one of his bayaans by chance today. I'm not sure if it's been posted already (I don't think so), but it's called Marriage: The Domestic Nucleus (http://real.meccaone.org:8080/ramgen/~meccaone/audio/domesticnucleus.rm).

i urge you all to buy a copy of the bayaan you listen to and like of Maulana Ahmad Ali as all proceeds go to the madrassas he is building/using/upgrading.
the bayaans are the main source of income in paying for the mosques/madrassas. its only £2 per cassette and its for a good cause.

Maulana Sulaim Mulla ROCKS. Just listened to his "Favour and Love of Allah", listened to the whole 45min without even realizing it. It just catches you.

My new favourite speaker is Maulana Sulaiman Mullah, the days of Shaykh Hamza Yusuf are long gone.

I believe "Favours and Love of Allah" is the title of a bayaan delivered by Maulana Ahmed Ali...

But I agree, Maulana Sulaiman Mulla definitely does rock.

im getting a new PC inshallah but i know next to nothing about computers.

what basic spec. of PC/monitor would i need to watch these audio/visual bayans at a good speed?
would i need a specific type of 'graphics card'?
im really looking fwd to watching/hearing these speeches.

and ive never actually heard of Maulana Suleman Mulla....but i have heard of Maulana Ebrahim Bham (also from SA) and i love his bayans....are they very similar?

and finally (sorry for the many Q's)....why dont u have any Shaykh Riyadh ul-haq bayans on saleel.com?
mashallah ur site is good but it it has no bayans by arguably the most popular/intelligent maulana on the UK bayan circuit... ?

Any computer you buy today will be able to play video/audio... (as long as it's not a really old second hand, car-boot sale thing...). If it has a graphics card and a sound card (even if they're on-board ones), and you have speakers, you'll be fine :insh:. What you may need however is a good connection to the Internet... should really be looking at broadband, even if it is only 512kb/sec...

I hadn't heard of Maulana Sulaiman Mulla till perhaps last year sometime either, but without a doubt he is my favourite talker now... perfect balance of content and delivery style. Not a bayaan I've heard of his after which I haven't learnt something... :alhamd:. I actually have to ration myself to listening to the bayaans I have; don't want to listen to them all too quickly and then have no new bayaans to listen to!

I really do highly recommend him!

I don't believe I have heard of Maulana Ebrahim Bham...

I have lots and lots of bayaans by Shaykh Riyadh ul-Haq... I just thought that other sites have lots of his bayaans, so it's best to put up bayaans on saleel.com which you might not be able to find on other sites.

(The files I put up on saleel.com are just a tiny amount compared to all the files I have on my hard drive [~95gb]. If anyone ever wants anything specific, just ask me :insh:.)

I'm trying to work on something so I can offer them for download... but for now, I'm sorry. What you can do is download one of those programs which record streaming audio, i.e. they record anything being played back by your soundcard. You can then record the bayaans to your hard drive.

I believe the links Saleel has provided are mp3 files made to stream with a Real Audio metafile (*.ram). However, if anyone ever wants to convert Real Audio files to wave, mp3 or wma, download Streambox Ripper (http://www.geocities.com/streambox_dl7/files/streambox_ripper.zip). It's made for Real Player G2 codecs, so after extracting it from the zip file, do the following to make it work:

1. Open folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Codecs
Right click on cook.dll and select Copy.
Then right click in that same folder and select Paste.
You will then have a file named Copy of cook.dll
Right click on Copy of cook.dll and select Rename.
Rename the file cook3260.dll

2. Open folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Codecs
Right click on sipr.dll and select Copy.
Then right click in that same folder and select Paste.
You will then have a file named Copy of sipr.dll
Right click on Copy of sipr.dll and select Rename.
Rename the file sipr3260.dll

Then simply drag your RA files and drop them into Streambox Ripper.

If the Real Audio file you want to convert starts streaming automatically when you click on its link, right-click on the link and choose 'save target as' or 'save link as'. Once saved, open Notepad, choose 'all files' in the 'open' box, and select the .ram file you just saved. That'll show you the location of the original Real Audio file. Copy the url and paste it in your browser and it should start downloading it, or open it in Download Accelerator and save it on your computer. Then drag and drop it into Streambox Ripper.

If the link is like Saleel's audio links (i.e. not a .ram link but a script that forwards to the .ram file), then use Firefox and click on the link. When it asks you if you want to save the file or open, select open with 'other' and browse to C:\windows\notepad.exe and click OK. That'll open the file in Notepad and it will expose the original location of the file. Copy and paste it into your browser or Download Accelerator to download, then drag and drop it into Streambox Ripper.
